It was a lovely listed building with beautiful decor and the staff were great. Due to the age of the building no air con was allowed and it got very hot but the staff brought a fan which helped and they were all very friendly it was a great place to stay.

    Small but pleasant room. Excellent breakfast with lovely staff. Beautiful lounges. This hotel is in a great location right in the centre of Kings Lynn.

    Not relaxing restful stay

    We returned due to a great previous stay last June. Sadly this one didn’t match up, arriving around 10.30pmchecked in to a small cosy room, (had before so thought knew what to expect)but in a different part of the building from before and would class this as a staff accommodation ¬ a guests. Bed was flat against the wall meaning that one of us couldn’t put phone or drink or items by them and had to clamber down the end of the bed to get out, the previous room had a ledge and small gap so more comfy. The blind was broken but did still work but as so close to wall the day light comes the closed side of blind. Couldn’t open these as could see people in the building across as really close but light in room was so dark, if the blind was up wouldn’t have made any difference. The floor boards cracked on the only small part of floor in the room and got really annoying, I felt sorry if anyone was below due to our late arrival. As we had two separate bookings had to check out and recheck in, reception said we could stay in same room and I did mention how bad the room was as I really didn’t feel like I got any sleep. We was able to move to the rooms in the newer part of the building and this was where we stayed before. Much nicer room. Sadly the radiator is blocked in and air conditioning didn’t want to stay on, can’t say how hot we were when trying to sleep. Sadly not the hotel we thought it was and didn’t get therestful stay we thought.Wished booked Premier Inn or Dragonfly
