Bilmar Beach Resort

8/10 Good

"The room was clean and had a beautiful view. The staff were all very nice and helpful. A little of the property was dated, but worked fine. One of the nights, Sloppy Joe’s had a reunion there and had live music until 10:30 pm, so it was loud and hard to sleep. We had seen 10:00 pm was when the quiet time started, so wondered why it had gone that long. We were just really tired and wanted to sleep then. I did find one cockroach, so that made me cringe, but we killed it. We did not find anymore, so that was good. The kitchen area was stocked with dishes, so if we wanted to cook, that was all available. That was nice! We were able to walk to many places for food, souvenirs, etc. There’s also free rides available, so that’s nice to have as an option. I would recommend this place."

"My husband and I needed a get away just for the night. Our stay here was peaceful and serene. We had a beautiful view, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, food was amazing! It was well worth the money spent even if for a night. My favorite part of a beach hotel stay is being able to go from the ocean to a pool. I loved being able to do that here! I also noticed such a clean smell and they sold scented candles and spray in the gift shop. So nice!"

"Highly recommend this hotel if you're planning a stay in St. Pete. This hotel was perfect...the staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was nice (clean and spacious and the bed was very comfy). However, our favorite thing about this hotel was the location. It is right in the heart of St. Pete and we could walk to everything. It was nice because this was a romantic staycation and we were able to go out and have cocktails at night without having to pay for an uber. There was literally no place that we wanted to go that wasn't within walking distance! One note...parking is expensive. You can save a little money by parking in a parking deck. There are several very close to the hotel."

"Lovely boutique hotel. Stayed 4 nights thru the Memorial Day weekend. My room was clean and comfortable. Love the homestyle, old timey feel of the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was super simple and there's no deposit. Pool was great. Loved that they had cabanas as I was able to get some work done by the pool and not miss out. Not the greatest fan of the weekend DJs but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I think it's more geared to 20s/30s guests. Location was great in downtown St. Petersburg and not too far from some really cool bars and lounges. Definitely recommend having breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Dinner is pretty good too."

"Really nice facility. One thing that was annoying was the outdoor pool. They shouldn't allow flotation items, such as small boats. Kids kept bumping into my wife and me, so we had to get out of the pool. If allowed have a facility member policing the pool area and hold the parents accountable for their children's actions. Teens jumping around rough housing was annoying as well."

"The room was extremely nice. This was our second time at this location.We went there on my birthday weekend and the lady at the counter I believe her name was Tara or Kara . I’m not sure. But she was extremely helpful upgraded our room at no cost, would definitely recommend."

Zota Beach Resort

"We loved our stay at Zota! The beach was one of our favorite parts—clean, calm, and not crowded at all. The water was crystal clear and the temperature was perfect. The food was excellent, much better than we expected, and the service throughout our stay was warm and friendly. A small issue came up with our final bill, but the hotel handled it professionally, and we really appreciated their prompt help."
