"We booked a five-night stay at the Marriott Maquis on the 32nd floor. The corner room offered a fantastic view of the city, especially the Bund. The light goes up at 6pm and it’s well worth the money. The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was served either in the lounge or on the third floor and there were plenty of choices including both Western and Asian dishes. The hotel was conveniently located right next to Nanjing Road (a five-minute walk) in a busy and vibrant part of the city. Overall, the hotel was lovely but check-in and check-out were quite slow and the lift was unbearable. It was incredibly slow, taking about three to five minutes to travel between floors. This was a deal-breaker for me. "

"Great hotel and really good service. I arrived early in the morning and they allowed early check in. I really appreciate that. The room was comfy and clean and the location is great. Also plenty of restaurants close."
