I apologize for any inconvenience that the touchscreen thermostat gave you, I did check it to make sure it was working properly and it seemed to be, I do wish you would have reached out I would have been happy to check in on it during your stay. As for the mud, mother nature decided to warm us up during your stay resulting in all the unpaved parking area to showcase its muddy self, we are looking into having the remainder of that area paved for the future, just have to wait for spring thaw to be over. We do encourage guests to utilize that back paved parking area while we staff an stand in the mud. We do hope that won't discourage you from visiting us again.

Hi Andrew, thank you for your thoughts. I see you stayed with us in opening weekend of winter carnival and you happened to grab the last room we had available, sold out at all our properties! We are slowly upgrading and making much needed changes so we love all feedback. As for the price, as all other accommodations in the area rates do fluctuate when special events happen but when you book through online travel sites hoteliers have very little say in the rate. Online sights can either undercut the rates of booking direct through hotels or raise them as they make money through commission. Hopefully you'll visit the area again!

I do wish you had let us know while you were here as we would have had our facilities department go in while you were out and get that fixed for you. We were able to resolve the issue right after reading your review. We do use a professional cleaning product for cleaning the jacuzzi, hospital grade actually. I am sorry that you felt it was too strong of a clean smell, I have never had someone say anything about that but definitely feedback we take seriously and I'll look into the possibility maybe its too strong for the room.I also thank you for your feedback on the mattress. The overall consensus on that mattress by guests is that it is so comfortable people sleep very well, but that could be changing. When we receive feedback about mattresses we have our team go and try them out, as each one of us have different preferences. We try to find a common ground and change them out accordingly. Again, we do appreciate your stay and feedback. I am sorry that you feel that you won't return but we do hope you'll stay with us again and see the upgrades we have planned.

Dear Ned,As we discussed prior, we had purchased the property less than a year ago and are starting the room remodel process now starting with a test room. Also as explained the room you stayed in is typically the last room we will have someone stay in due to its proximity to the road, and since I can't move the building we are making the room more soundproof is a plan for that rooms remodel. I had taken a look at the air conditioning unit after you let me know that it did not seem to work and, while it was set at 62 it did need to be drained to be able to work more efficiently, I thank you for letting me know about that. As for pricing, hoteliers do not have a lot of say when it comes to what online sites charge, however as you stayed with us on a comp night the price did not affect you.

Thank you for the review and feedback. Having just recently purchased the property we have not had an opportunity yet to get into the rooms to remodel but plan on starting on our test room very soon. In the meantime we do want the guests to see that we take care in the cleanliness of the rooms and the amenities that we can offer at this time. I am sorry that you were displeased with your stay. Unfortunately our area was hit hard during the pandemic and our available workforce dwindled so many smaller properties are opting for a less staff, more automated approach. We understand not everyone likes it. I am on property 5 days a week and available 24/7 via phone or email for any guests to reach out with questions or concerns. I see the date you stayed was a day I was not on property and for that I apologize. Thank you Robert for the feedback. We are currently looking at dispensaries for the showers as in 2025 small package bottles will become illegal in NYS. I am currently trying a lot of different brands so wee what kind we want to go with in the dispensers. The coffee kits, unfortunately I want to keep it hygienic so that packaging may have to stay but if you know of any other systems you have seen please let me know, I would like to be as eco-friendly as possible. Many smaller properties are going to a non-traditional approach when it comes to lodging, primarily due to the massive labor shortage our area has.
