"This hotel was too far away from the city. Originally I didn’t think that was an issue, however on the first day, a taxi driver charged us 1200 reales from the bus station to the hotel. "The air conditioning was terrible. It got very cold, but any attempt to make it comfortable just made it hot. The display never turns off unless you turn off the air, so it was illuminating the entire room. Another unit was above the bathroom and that had flashing yellow lights that wouldn’t stop and we couldn’t turn it off. The shower head was a normal one but came out of the middle of the ceiling. The breakfast was mediocre and the French bread was stale. Pillows were flat. Mattress was just ok. "
