It's about 3-4 blocks from the Sapporo station and also a walking distance of interesting things to see, such as the Clock Tower (100m), Odori Park (200m) and the TV Tower (300m). There are numerous restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful - and at least two of them spoke English (so, not all of them). The room was clean, even if a bit worn out. Sound insulation was excellent. I had a Japanese style room, but there was a proper spring mattress on the tatami floor and a couple of chairs (pretty low, but fine), so you don't need to sit on the floor if you prefer not to. I also wished there were more outlets to charge my devices. The only pros were that this hotel was close to Sapporo Station and many of the important landmarks of this city, and that the staff was kind. The hotel is very easy to find as it’s very close to main station but it’s also a very walkable distance from all the main sites downtown. The staff was courteous, kind and patient. They made me feel at home while away from home. The hotel along with the room was very clean and well maintained. I am a fan of the old brick style entrance as well. Only criticism I have was the wifi on my floor was not very strong. Given I was out and about for much of the day it wasn’t a huge inconvenience but it was unfortunate at times. Thank you to the hotel staff for hosting me. Property is outdated but everything is in good working condition. I would recommend this property to anyone without wheelchair accessibility concerns. The hotel is surrounded by 4 shopping centres which have underground access to Sapporo station. It is also right next to the orange line bus stop which services the local area and the Sapporo beer museum. Wi-Fi is free but only fast enough for e-mails and light streaming. We paid around $70 CAD per night for a room with three double beds, 2 person couch, and a massage chair. We stayed in May 2024.
