Great place to stay

Posted 23-Jun-2017
Located near all sorts of shopping and restaurants. Only about 15 minutes from historic downtown Santa Fe. Staff was very helpful and morning breakfasts were fantastic

Pool was closed

Posted 12-Jun-2017
Pool was closed but they paid for us to go to the local rec center. Staff would not bring up extra towels. Clean comfortable room.

OK but not up to Hyatt standards

Posted 09-Jun-2017
Pros: Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Room was welll looked after.
Cons: Making sure that advertised services were working (Pool and computer printer). They were neglected for at least the 2 weeks of our stay.
Staff and room comfort were great except that the sofa was cheap and uncomfortable. The pool and hot tub were out of service when we got there with the excuse that they needed a part. They got back in service two weeks later when we were leaving. What happened to overnight delivery? Likewise the hotel printer was out of service and was still out when we left. Again what happened to overnight delivery? Or a quick trip to Best Buy? Also we were not happy that breakfast was removed very promptly at 9:30 on weekdays, 10:00 on weeekends. This is not hospitality.

Odd location, nice facility

Posted 06-Jun-2017
It is behind a gas station, if you drive too fast you'll miss the sign to turn into the parking lot. You can't really see it from the road. Clerk at check in was nice. Pool was out of service, that was pretty disappointing for the kids. The room was large, clean and nice. Had a huge couch which was a nice surprise. The breakfast in the morning was ok, not great but it was something in the belly and it came with the room so that was nice.

Nice hotel, poor communication

Posted 02-Jun-2017
So when we arrived at the hotel, little did we know that the pool was out of order...and had been for two weeks. After a long trip, that was the one thing our family was looking forward to. Apparently they had signs posted at the desk when we checked in, but we didn't see them. Only when we tried to get in to the pool did we see the signs that it was closed. We talked to the front desk, and they said we could go to the local community center to swim. So we went over there, and they had canceled their evening swim time because they were short staffed. We just wish that we had been notified when the pool closed....so we could have made other accommodations.

Great hotel with spacious, well designed rooms.

The room was large and had a separate lounge area with a sofa. Small frig and bartop also in room. Very nice, very clean.

Very difficult to get to hotel. Sign is not large

Posted 11-May-2017
Cons: Rooms and breakfast.
Location: We were there on a Tuesday and we're unable to see museum right at the Plaza. Everything said it was open, but was not. Try the Shed for a meal.
The sign is not large enough. The rooms need re-doing. Room 309 has wallpaper in bath coming off and the walls in the room are dirty. This is not housekeepings fault, rather the management. Breakfast has very limited choices, more beverages than anything else. Coffee is TERRIBLE! Stay elsewhere. Our stay at Comfort Suites in Carlsbad was great! Don't waste your money here.

Nice enough

Posted 10-May-2017
The hotel was nice, I liked the setup of the room a lot but wasn't the most kid friendly place. Seemed much more like a business person hotel than a family hotel.

No cribs and run down room

Posted 07-May-2017
We were informed that they were out of cribs during check in. Our 16 month old slept with us, the uncomfortable bed didn't help! The room we were given was very run down which was surprising since the lobby looked well kept and updated. The furniture in the room had warn edges, the base was coming off which was carpet, the corner mold by the tv was dangling. We waited at least 10 minutes to check out and the woman at the front desk was blunt and had no customer service skills. I do have to say the staff that checked us in was welcoming and kind. I wonder if we were given a room that was not well kept because we had an infant, not worth over $100.
