Expected a little more from Hyatt
Usually stay Hilton (hhonors member), but tried Hyatt this time for short golf vacation. Took quite a while to be acknowledged at the front desk at arrival, and then was placed in a room with non-functional AC. When we called front desk to have maintenance look at it, was told by GM that we were 'accidentally' placed in a room that was flagged with a mechanical issue. She personally helped us relocate to another room on same floor (good customer service response), but disappointed that they would allow a non-working room to be filled. Poor communication. She offered dinner/food/bar as a compensation, which was fair, but the food we ordered was cold and not very appetizing.
Room was clean, well kept, but A/C fan in new room did not function much better than the original. Noise between rooms was greater than we've experienced in the past at comparable hotels. Complementary breakfast was good, and bed was comfortable. Room layout is questionable, simply because closet is pretty much unreachable and useless. Rated fair, which means I don't know if we'll stay at this property again when we visit.
