The Crown Liquor Saloon was built in 1826 and was one of the most renowned gin palaces of its day. Come here today and see how its gorgeous Victorian features have been carefully protected and painstakingly restored. Stand outside the building to admire the intricate multi-colored tiles that cover the façade. Head inside and see how closely the unique design of the exterior matches the interior. Dark wood panels divide the booths, while the bar itself is a marvel of ornate carving. The ceiling is decorated with beautiful shades of red and gold and the mosaic tiles of the floor are art objects in themselves.
