Unfortunately, while there were some excellent aspects to our stay, the overall experience fell considerably below what I would reasonably expect from a hotel positioned and priced at this level. I would first like to acknowledge the positives. The quality of the food was excellent. Even the buffet offered an impressive choice and very good quality, while our meals at Helios and Gaucho were outstanding. Walter, who looked after us at breakfast and lunch, was particularly attentive and deserves recognition. Our bed was large and comfortably firm, the television was excellent, and the L’Occitane bathroom products were a very nice touch. Unfortunately, these positives were overshadowed by a substantial number of problems. Repeated disruption to our sleep (fire alarm, call at 3.30am, poor sound insulation) Failure of a Signature Level benefit (off site lunch booking was not made) The Signature Level accommodation (very small bathroom- it used to be a 3star hotel and it shows) Signature Level pool and service (very small pool, infrequent pool service, not enough loungers) Lack of attention to detail
