We stayed here first week in June 2014 for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Hotel was fantastic. A beautiful setting away from busy Venice. Train station only about a 20 minute walk from hotel and journey takes about 25mins to get to Venice. Hotel offers a taxi service to and from train station and also airport. Staff were extremely helpful. You also have a use of free bikes to cycle around the town. I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is amazing!!!! The refurbishment has been done so well, the location is perfect, it’s so peaceful but so close to everything. We felt so lucky to stay here. Carlos is the bar was superb, I watched him make a drink for another guest and so much effort went into it, he was polite, engaging and attentive. Amazing hotel with really friendly and helpful staff only a 6 min bus ride from venice

Does the job. Clean room. Nice staff. Good bed. Noisy dogs next door was the only issue, but they quietened down into the night.

Located on the mainland and not the islands, but ideal if you need parking and prefer day trips in. €20 for a day pass which includes bus & tram to the islands (30 minutes and very easy) and also includes water taxis all day. The local area is also loaded with amazing restaurants which are much, much cheaper than the islands and possibly some of the best food I have ever had! The hotel itself is amazing. Beautiful hotel & it's in a great location for Rialto Bridge & St Mark's Square so we would highly recommend. There is a free shuttle bus/water taxi from hotel pier that takes you to Murano where you are shown how they make the Murano glass. You are then shown round a very beautiful but expensive showroom. They then show you to the gift shop if you don't make a purchase but there is no obligation to purchase anything. Only down side to hotel was that you had to pay to go in the spa (€25...

Our first time in Venice, and we found this hotel was ideal, situated across the road from the water transport hub. The room was clean and comfortable, overlooking the lagoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast food was of good quality, and the hotel was clean throughout.

Lovely position on a quiet canal, canal view rooms available which we like to have. Superb location near Piazza San Marco. Rooftop bar lounge area has great views over the rooftops and lots of cover for shade from the Sun. Breakfast buffet is extensive and seems to get better every year, this was our 5th stay in this hotel.

A wonderful hotel in a nice part of Venice, almost like a hidden gem. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the breakfast selection was great. The room was nice too, clean, relatively big for the location, bathroom great too. In room facilities good, although no iron, they do have an ironing service which is supplemented by a tip to housekeeping. There’s a coop (convenience store, gelato parlour, coffee/pastry shop all within 30 seconds.

This was our third visit to The Riviera and our reasons for returning was the excellent service and accommodation previously provided. On this occasion we discovered that our booking didn't include a room with a balcony - important for my wife's need for easily accessible fresh air. After making our concerns known the Manager Piero Padovar make a phone call to me in the hotel and said that we could move room the next night - at a very reasonable additional charge. Very modern and lovely hotel, very clean and very comfortable, a short distance from Venice Airport and shuttle service, the only complaint with the shuttle service is that they drop you off in the car park and not outside the terminal, and it’s a fair walk to get to the terminal

Wonderful hotel within easy walking distance of all of the sights in the City - this was our third visit over ten years. It gets better every time!

Hotel was nice and big,well it’s was far from the city, which cost us a lot of money for taxi, around €45 to the hotel, but the hotel provided a shuttle to take us to the city and bring us back and took us to the airport when leaving Venice, the hotel room bathroom toilet was blocked, called them and they fixed that, the only issue I had was the first day I was in the hotel, someone opened the door, didn’t know how, she apologized, the next morning , while sleeping same thing happened , before I...
