"The location was in a small alpine village with stunning views. There were walks from the door and easy access to cable cars for mountain walks and lakes. The hotel was immaculate and inkeeping with local tradition. The service was excellent and staff went above and beyond, even providing us with a breakfast bag on our departure day. There is a restaurant on site which served traditional german food which again was amazing."

"Every nook and cranny was clean & orderly. The staff are kindest, people on the planet, seriously! I would work for them! Parking was easy, though I was not her during peak season though plenty of parking close by. The spa is lovely, wish I could have stayed longer. Lots to do in the area, it was nice to visit city stuff during the day and come back to a quiet place at night."

Perfectly located for hiking and swimming in the summer. The breakfast is amazing with such a wide choice. Very family friendly with attentive staff. Great to have on-site pool (although there are some amazing pools, one walking distance and a couple of others a short drive). Would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent breakfast. We especially appreciated being able to rent e-bikes directly from the hotel, including options for children. It made it easy for us to enjoy some fantastic, family-friendly trails in the surrounding area.

Property and rooms were fabulous. Loved the farmyard themed rooms. Very quirky. Staff were excellent. We stayed as a one night stopover on way home from a tour of Europe, but its just over border from Austria so Salzburg is extremely near.

We were greeted at check in with a glass of prosecco each before going to the room. The room was a family room which provided a very spacious bedroom and seperate living room with a sofa bed.
The spa facilities were absolutely beautiful and being located so close to the car park for us was ideal. Pet friendly and the area of Bad Reichenhall is absolutely stunning. We would stay in this hotel again tomorrow if we could. Loved it.

The room was clean and well presented, lots of space, I stayed in the double classic and the beds were very comfy.
The staff were always happy to help with questions and worked with a smile and nothing was too much. We arrived back late hungry after an event and they even cooked us a snack.
The food was always full of flavour and freshly cooked and would advise eating at the restaurant if you get chance.
We booked a massage and the guy was great, the massage too.

The best area to stay in Sankt Valentin is the village centre, particularly around Sankt Valentin Platz.
This area is the heart of Sankt Valentin, offering easy access to local amenities and the picturesque Bavarian landscape. It's a compact and pleasant area, with traditional Bavarian guesthouses and family-run restaurants. The parish church of St. Valentin is a prominent landmark, and the area is well-connected for exploring the surrounding region.
Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will find the village centre ideal. It provides a peaceful base for enjoying the local hospitality, with opportunities for gentle strolls through the village or along the nearby hiking paths. Many accommodations here offer lovely views of the mountains, great for a quiet morning coffee.
For those interested in outdoor activities, staying closer to the outskirts of the village centre, particularly towards the hiking and cycling trails, is a good option. This allows for direct access to the natural beauty of the Bavarian Alps, making it convenient for day trips into the mountains.
When is the best time to go to Sankt Valentin?
The best time to visit Sankt Valentin is generally during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) months.
These periods offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the Bavarian countryside and enjoying outdoor activities. You'll avoid the peak summer crowds and often find a more relaxed atmosphere. The spring brings blooming flowers and lush greenery, while the autumn is known for its beautiful changing colours and harvest festivals.
For those looking to enjoy winter sports, the period from December to March is best. While Sankt Valentin itself isn't a major ski resort, it's well-located for day trips to nearby Alpine areas, and the town itself often has a charming, festive feel during the Christmas season.
