"Excellent service, location and room maintenance"

"Paving in garden area uneven. Coffee not always available in some bars. Pond needs warning signs, and safety features for young children. More towels needed in room. Reception lady with blonde hair, on arrival, not very friendly. On breakfast, food luke-warm, bacon and scrambled eggs dry and tasteless. Plates cold and had to chase cutlery and plates not cleared."

"We had such a lovely stay at this clean and friendly hotel. Breakfast was superb and the staff amazing. The hotel is ideally situated with free car parking and a few minutes walk to the bus stop where regular buses took you into Oxford. We dined in the restaurant of an evening and had well cooked meals. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. We would highly recommend and would love to visit again."

"Nice room overlooking the garden towards the river, first floor with balcony and table and chairs, nice rain shower and products but we were v grateful for the toothpaste/kits at reception as we’d left ours and for the late checkout. Decent tea/coffee/biscuits in the room All the staff we spoke with at reception and breakfast were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent- great fresh fruits in particular and toast-/avocado. Some of the grounds need care and attention - I’m all for rewilding but the space isn’t being managed properly ;and a sign for the footpath to the river would have been useful! Front of the property is well maintained - beautiful roses. Didn’t have time to use the gym or pool unfortunately; seems dog and child friendly so would hope to visit again in future. We did have a nice walk along the Thames path to Iffley and watched the rowing."
