Nice quaint hotel.

Posted 18-Mar-2017
Pros: Everything was clean and the staff friendly. Room was small but just right.
Location: See above.
Our room was on the 7th floor so we enjoyed the view and lights of the city. We were close to Union Square so watched the hustle and bustle of everything. We enjoyed the stories of the area and were able to walk to dinner and breakfast.

Nice hotel with a great location in Union Square

Posted 27-Jan-2017
Pros: friendly/helpful staff, great location in the city
Cons: a breakfast bar wouldn't hurt
Location: Union Square is right around the corner, & there are plenty of restaurants. about 15 min walk from China Town, and 30 min walk from Fisherman's Whar
The staff at the front desk were very helpful in scheduling and rescheduling my shuttle bus pick-up to go to the airport. My room was made up properly everyday. i have ZERO complaints

San Francisco at reasonable rates!

Posted 04-Dec-2016 on Hotels
A comfortable, older hotel room at half the price of fancier places a block away. You can afford to stay longer in the heart of San Francisco!

Very noisy

Posted 28-Nov-2016
Pros: Staff
Cons: Better windows to reduce street noise.
Location: Excellent location, close to shops, restaurants
The only reason I would not recommend this hotel, is the terrible street noise, that won't let go almost at any hour.

Visit No More

Posted 13-Nov-2016 on Hotels
The air was filled with fried food odor throughout the entire building. Lack of amenities, slow elevator. Noisy streets. Old fashion windows. Outdated carpets throughout hallways and rooms. This really should be a 1 star hotel.

The saving grace was the sheets were clean.

Posted 05-Nov-2016
Pros: Close to Union Square.
Cons: It was close to Union Square. I passed a person using a doorway as a latrine.
The room's view was the garbage dumpsters of the restaurant next door, loudly used at 2am when they closed. The carpet was so grimy I dared not use slippers. The front desk staf were friendly but could have least dressed for work instead of cleaning out the garage.

Old but cheap and comfy

Posted 31-Oct-2016 on Hotels
The room is old but comfy. Key to get in, no card key. Small sink area so small mirror. No screens on windows and no a/c, so a lot of bugs kept coming in the windows. Hallways smelled like smoke even though the rooms are non smoking. Great location for union square shopping

Not for me

Posted 31-Oct-2016
Pros: Good location close to union square and public transportation. I thought it would be ok just for a place to sleep but the beds were uncomfortable. The noise from street traffic was ok but the homeless and pan handlers shouting kept me up most of the night.
Cons: Uncomfortable beds and shouting from the street at night.
Location: Short walk to union station and public transportation, reasonably priced restaurants nearby.
