Union Square...close to Chinatown, shopping, trans

Posted 14-Mar-2017
Pros: location, service, quiet. Great, big lobby area for conference calls, business, relaxing.
Cons: bar could be updated
Location: Union Square, Chinatown, shopping, restaurants, bars. Taxi to Fisherman's wharf.
Great location, quiet even next to trolley, busses. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, Chinatown within walking distance. All staff were extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. Especially pleased with the concierge service...expert dinner reservations...even made sure of a window seat at the Chart House, with VIP treatment! Rooms and bathrooms a tad small, but still comfortable and serviceable. Very quiet. Lots of taxis at any hour. Best to park 100 yards before the hotel at a garage...$40 per day vs. expensive valet. No real need for a car, however, unless you're going to tour outside the city. Bar was plain, but accommodating (vs. some of the other local big hotel bars) food was good, but just OK. I would definitely go there again.

Upgraded to a suite. Great staff. Perfect for families. Great location. Valet pays for itself in restaurant recommendations alone.

Great location!

Posted 01-Feb-2017
Pros: The bed & bedding were heavenly.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Walking to restaurants with a view of the bridge and close to the Bay is definitely doable even if you aren't in perfect shape.
This is a great hotel. The staff is well trained, very responsive and nice. It's a perfect location for getting around SF.

Tiny rooms, ok sevice

Posted 11-Jan-2017
The junior suite room we booked was tiny and had a blocked view. When we asked if we can get a room with better view, they put us in a regular room, which is even tinier although it did have a better view. Not so impressed as compare to Marriott Marquis nearby.

Close to union square BUT

Posted 03-Jan-2017
Close to union square but room is very small. Not to mention that u can hear everything going on in the hall way and in the room next to you. I just expected more from a Marriott hotel.

Worn out Mattresses

Posted 02-Jan-2017
Both the mattresses in our room were completely worn out. I brought this to front desks notice. They placed wood boards under one of the mattresses, but this didn't work. We were not able to sleep properly for two nights in row.
