Perfect Choice for San Francisco Weekend

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Cons: Hotel lobby smelled a bit too much like lemon cleaning products.
Location: Cable car, restaurants, Union Square, shopping, walk to everything
We booked the SF Marriott last minute, based on the location, trip advisor reviews, and price relative to other options. It was perfect! Very large room (we were put in a wheelchair accessible room), which was especially nice since we requested a roll-away bed for our child. Right on the cable car line, steps away from lots of great restaurants and shops, across the street from Starbucks. We often used Uber to get around, and cars were always just 2 minutes away. Unexpected benefits included the large room, and the TV with the option to connect to Netflix, Hulu, etc. (our own subscriptions, but nice to have away from home). Sunny, large fitness center. Staff were all very nice. Free wifi in lobby. We would choose it again!

Great location near union square

Posted 17-Apr-2017
Pros: location, staff
Cons: possibly the bed. lighting (as above)
Location: convenient to Union Square, China town, Trolley, restaurants.
My wife and I were in SF for a long weekend vacation. Hotel is conveniently located, with excellent staff. Clean. My wife thought the bed was too soft, and the door between the room and the hallway let a fair amount of light in under it, preventing the room from being dark at night. Otherwise, our stay was great.

Union Square...close to Chinatown, shopping, trans

Posted 14-Mar-2017
Pros: location, service, quiet. Great, big lobby area for conference calls, business, relaxing.
Cons: bar could be updated
Location: Union Square, Chinatown, shopping, restaurants, bars. Taxi to Fisherman's wharf.
Great location, quiet even next to trolley, busses. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping, Chinatown within walking distance. All staff were extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. Especially pleased with the concierge service...expert dinner reservations...even made sure of a window seat at the Chart House, with VIP treatment! Rooms and bathrooms a tad small, but still comfortable and serviceable. Very quiet. Lots of taxis at any hour. Best to park 100 yards before the hotel at a garage...$40 per day vs. expensive valet. No real need for a car, however, unless you're going to tour outside the city. Bar was plain, but accommodating (vs. some of the other local big hotel bars) food was good, but just OK. I would definitely go there again.
