Very old world San Francisco

Posted 30-Nov-2016
Pros: I just wrote what I liked above. Please don't ask me to repeat the obvious. Location, clientele, customer service, quaintness, great restaurants etc!!
Loved how quaint this hotel was with the bench in the elevator and the eclectic customers. Plus it was in an incredible location to Union Square, stores, great restaurants and even has a theater in the hotel itself. The rooms are not that big but I loved the fan and the temperature was always perfect.

Thank you for choosing the Kensington Park Hotel. We are sorry about your dissatisfaction at the hotel and appreciate your feedback. The experience you described certainly falls short of our expectations and we will use this to retrain our guest service staff. We are currently planning an extensive interior design and remodeling project that we believe will address your particular issues and offer an enhanced experience for all of our guests. We hope we can welcome you back in the near future to experience the improvements. We value your time.

great quaint hotel

Posted 25-Nov-2016
Pros: quaint and comfortable
Cons: air con in the rooms
Location: right around corner from Union square and Cable cars at your door, Fabulous location
Very good location, a very quaint hotel, with lovely "olde worlde"decor and comfortable rooms, staff very helpful, room had heating, but no cooling, I put the window up 6 inches to allow cool air to flow. Love the sherry and tea provided from 4pm onwards daily

Very disappointing experience

Posted 05-Nov-2016
Pros: Location was very handy. Close to shops, bars, restaurants and public transport
Cons: Very disappointing experience. Very poor customer service. Receptionist attitude in general very poor. Safe broke down with our passports inside when we were about to leave to the airport and the hotel response was very slow. Parking very expensive. Facilities looked very old. Room was very noisy ( traffic and next door room). No hot water some days

Old fashioned and tired

Posted 29-Oct-2016
Location: The location is central and near good shopping but a bit seedy and not one of the nicer areas
No amenities e.g. Lounge, bar, dining room. The spa/gym in the basement is members only. There was no hot water on our first morning. Paper thin walls - you can hear your neighbour's conversation. Dreadful value for money and probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Wonderful staff but noisy, no air conditioning

Posted 27-Oct-2016
Pros: The staff worked hard to accommodate the guests needs. Large shower stalls. Wonderful thick towels!
Cons: Central air conditioning! Do a something about slamming doors, perhaps a mechanism that allows doors to close slowly? New beds!
Location: Great location! Right near Union Square. Plenty to see and do within walking distance.
The staff was professional, courteous, and accommodating. The room was clean but the beds were old and uncomfortable, and the hotel has no air conditioning, making it extremely uncomfortable for us! The walls were thin, I could hear door slamming constantly. I did not get a good nights sleep. Great location!

Older hotel, but nice and clean. Comfy and quiet

No AC, but you don't really need it in San Francisco, most if the time

Old fashioned im Stadtzentrum nächtigen

Posted 24-Oct-2016
