Stay away until they are done remodeling
Marriott has a different definition of "intermittent noise" than do I. Two-three hours of jack hammering in an open air atrium is a bit much. It is actually noisier in the atrium than the room. The loud work was in force towards end of day--when one returns to the room after a full day in hopes of some relaxation before regrouping for dinner. Perhaps it was the same all day, who knows? The truly disheartening thing is to realize that the employees are subject to such all day long. What does this say about Corporate --clearly don't seem to care about their employees...
Supposedly the bathrooms are being redone--and not a moment too soon. The bathrooms currently have a full size tub, separate from the shower. Nice--no one wants to sit in a tub where so many guests before them have stood. However, this leaves the shower the size of a postage stamp, perhaps 30x30, if that. In addition, the shower head is a rain shower; low flow, short, little room in the 30x30 square to manuever and if you wish to move the rain shower head to an angle, you are nose to the tile. Ironically Marriott acknowledges that people don't like to be rained upon by providing an umbrella in your room for those unpredictable showers the City can provide but they don't seem to get that most people tryuly don't want to be rained upon and thus have an outdated shower head.
