Great location, fun hotel, cool rooms

Posted 19-May-2017
Pros: Fun, great location, lots to do within walking distance
Cons: Colder fridge, better plant-based food options in the bar and restaurant.
Location: Easy walking distance to chinatown, union square, restaurants, bars.
The rooms were small but nicely furnished and had a fun, hippie decor. Everything was clean and well organized, the bed was comfortable, and the pod espresso machine in the room was a nice touch. We had a fridge, which we didn't expect to have, although it didn't get very cold and we were told it was more of a "chiller" than a true fridge. It worked to keep water and iced coffee cold, although I don't know if food would spoil in it. The street noise was loud at night, so we had to sleep with ear plugs. I liked that the toiletries were eco-friendly, and instead of single-use bottles, there were refillable pump bottles for shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body wash. We played pool every day we were there. We were there for a week, and had the game room pretty much to ourselves every time. The other "games" were meh, and the ski ball machine wasn't working, but having a free pool table was awesome. The valet parking is ungodly expensive! Look for another place to park if you have a car with you. It was nice to be able to call down and have our car ready for us within 5 min. But if we ever go back, we'll find another place to park, there are quite a few nearby. The bar had a nice lounge-y area, but there was a much better cocktail bar two doors down, Bar 587. Amazing, inventive cocktails! We walked EVERYWHERE, although we love walking, and only got the car to drive to East bay. Called a Lyft twice when walking through iffy neighborhoods at night.

I was there on business and stayed a couple of days, nice location with access to everything, staff was great and accommodating. The room space is good and used efficiently. Overall I would stay there again on my next trip to SF.

San Fran stay for a conference/holiday

Posted 15-May-2017
Myself and my husband stayed in San Francisco for 4 nights (I was at a conference). The Hotel Zeppelin was excellent. Lovely room and bathroom, funky decor, quiet, comfy bed, nice TV, Nespresso coffee in room. Everything was very clean. Convenient location for downtown. Lovely bar and restaurant. Would recommend this with without reservation.

Stylish hotel close to Union Square

Posted 14-May-2017
Hotel Zeppelin is a stylish hotel close to Union Square. I loved our room, the bed was super comfy for a wonderful nights sleep and i can't fault the bathroom which had beautiful amenities. One thing that has stayed with me is the hotels 'Being Green Is For The Dogs' option. You have the option of declining the housekeeping service for the day and a portion of the revenue from your stay is donated to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. Such a great initiative. Thank you Hotel Zeppelin.

Hotel Zeppelin

Posted 10-May-2017
Pros: The Hotel is clean and comfortable with a fun section in the basement (pool table and large screen TV etc).
Location: San Fransisco is a fantastic City with lots to do. The Wine tour was a bit of a disappointment and Yosemite National Park is a long trek
The Hotel is in a good location close to Union Square and at 10 minute Cable Car ride from the Bay. The Cable Car cost either $7 per trip or $21 for a day pass, if you are going to the Cable Car a lot a weekly pass is $42. However the Q for the Cars for the return journey are quite long. I would suggest that when you land you go to the Shuttle Bus location in the Airport (Approx cost $17 per person) the staff can arrange for a shuttle bus when you depart.

Great junior suite

Posted 02-May-2017
Pros: Location
Stayed in a junior suite and the room was great and spacious. A little bit of a burn on the wallet for sure, but worth it if you need more space. Only complaint about the room is that there's no bath, only a shower. Overall it was great, with one thing that wasn't too good.. all the staff at the reception just looked unhappy and weren't the friendliest. They were professional and got things done, but smiles and attitude is free! If they could take that up a notch it'd certainly give a much better first impression.

Nice place but...

Posted 27-Apr-2017
Hotel is nice but the walls could be sound proof. You can hear people going in and out of their hotel rooms or talking. That's my only complaint. Everything else meet my expectations.

Lovely staff but not impressed with room

Posted 21-Apr-2017
Hotel Zepplin is in a great area, close to union square, the staff are lovely and all the public areas look wonderful, great games room, gym and beautiful bar area. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the room, it was clean and the bed was comfy but it was bland and very very dark, admittedly there was a building quite close to the window but there were four lamps in the room as well as the overhead light and we still couldn't see the coffee machine. One wall was painted dark brown and the unit that held the fridge and coffee machine was also dark brown, I spent the first half hour moving the lamps around so we could use the coffee machine. The wardrobe was also tiny, only had enough space for eight hangars. I cannot fault the staff, always pleasant and helpful, the kettle and mugs I requested were in the room a couple of hours later but I can only describe the room as depressing.

Checking in to the hotel with Jill (I think) went very well. She was very helpful, professional and even provided me with a drink upon arrival. Awesome unique hotel with a great lobby and bar/restaurant. I ate at the restaurant twice during my stay-it was that good.
