Well designed rooms, excellent for solo travelers, my room was small, ideally for 1 person, but it had everything you need in it. You can control everything in the room with the iPad, the blinds from the room, the T, V. The black out is really black out. The bed was more on the firm side but very comfortable and the pillows were big and fluffy. All the ambassadors were really helpful and friendly, also they can help you anywhere from checking you in or you can do it yourself in the computers in the lobby. The 3rd floor is where the lobby is along with the “canteen” were I got a mixology drink and a great macchiato. I loved my stay there. There’s a guard at the door 24/7. You can walk to the mall and I was able to walk all rhe way to the Ferry building, the location is great! I felt safe my whole stay there. I will definitely stay again, next time I travel by myself to SF.

LOVE: Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location(close to railcars and trains), door security, great breakfast options, cool & modern features (LOVE the electronic blackout blinds!), one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in Not really a dislike, but I wish the shower had stronger water pressure. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a decent property with everything needed just in a smaller scale! The neighborhood is not great andni didn't feel safe walking outside after 9. Building has 24h security outside

I had never been to San Francisco, so I was scared but the hotel was clean and the staff are friendly lots of little stores and restaurants in the area that are walkable. Also bus transportation is very accessible when I stay there again close to a lot of tourist attractions.

I actually really liked this hotel and the cleverly engineered rooms quite a bit. Amazing efficiency and design for 150 sf room. Location was great, staff was friendly but slightly under trained. My biggest issue is there was a large painting on the front promoting “Activate Your Dreams” with a satanic image of a person with “666” tattooed across their nose. As a Christian, I was very disturbed by this imagery and can’t stay at a hotel that clearly supports anything of this kind. They’ll say it’s just art or diversity but it’s pretty blatant to me.l what it represents. Some of the workers I talked to were not happy about it either. Will not return.

Overall a great hotel for single travelers in particular. Couples might be a bit cramped depending on how tall you are. The immediate area around the hotel is fine, but it is near the Tenderloin area of SF so keep that in mind. Great public transit options and close to some major landmarks like the Embaradero and Yerba Buena Gardens/SFMoMA.

We really enjoyed our stay at CitizenM! It was a very unique stay and perfect for a couple days. The controls on the iPad were really cool and the room was comfortable. I also liked how there was a security guard outside almost all the time. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again or at their other locations!

My wife loved our stay at this clean and colourful, centrally located hotel! Staff are phenomenal. Lounge area is lovely. The room has everything you need and nothing you don't. The gym is small, but was functional and featured lux equipment. The only thing we didn't get to see was the patio (it is closed over the weekends) but we will definitely be back> Thanks again!

Blown away! Definitely exceeding our expectations for the price. Few cleanliness things, like our bedding had a small stain but not a huge deal. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Checking in and out was easy. The neighbourhood isn’t the best, it’s just on the outside of the tenderloin which isn’t the safest neighbourhood but it was easy to avoid during the day and we just didn’t walk around late at night. A little far of a walk from most tourist attractions but we still managed! Overall, highly recommend and look forward to staying at other CitizenM hotels!
