"Lovely, very helpful lady welcomed us. Room was nice but bed old fashioned, with a bolster and tightly packed bedding. Good area to stay as not far from town and has parking. Someone is colour-blind though: bright pink towels with a bright orange floor in the bathroom! Black and white patterns in the bedrooms (walls different style from the furniture)."

The hotel has been created out of an old school and it’s lovely to see it given a new life. We liked having breakfast in the garden (which used to be the playground) and having a walk down to the fantastic beaches and cafes of Guethary. We had a room on the second floor and it was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also big and very clean- but I prefer a separate shower. The breakfast was lovely quality and very relaxed, we liked the long tables to share with...

Great hotel in wonderful pristine condition. Spotlessly clean. Good, powerful shower in a large marble bathroom. Each room is dedicated to a particular figure in the movie industry.
Pleasant and efficient staff.
We lunched at the restaurant, which was extremely good and at a reasonable price.
The hotel is located adjacent to bus stops which are frequent and take you conveniently to the old town and theme park.

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. Amazing location, superb staff, one of the best breakfast selections (and quality) we have had anywhere, loved that it’s a la carte and made to order.
Room very comfortable with a great shower and nice amenities.
We will be back for sure!

A stylish hotel, located close to the heart of San Sebastián and its attractions. Staff throughout were helpful & courteous at all times. On the downside, the breakfast buffet area was very congested due there being little space.

The hotel in lovely and obviously caters for the ‘Up Market’ clientele that they get given the proximity to the fashionable town of Biarritz, however Breakfast was not included and cost 26€ each!!!!! Far too much for a continental breakfast with additional hot items extra! Also be aware you are right next to an airport and will get occasional jet noise (not that busy though.

This is such a lovely small hotel, situated in a great location set just back on one of the busy streets in Biarritz. It is right next to all the shops, bars & restaurants and the beach is just a short walk away. The daily market situated just across the road is full of really fresh produce and you can also sit for a coffee and a snack or a glass of wine if you prefer. Even though it is so close to everything it is not noisy.

To stay at this hotel is to experience gracious living and elegance at its very best. We started coming here three years ago.to celebrate our wedding anniversary and now make a point of coming back each year. The hotel remembers each year the reason for our stay without reminding and go out of their way to make our celebration special. It is little touches like this that make the Palais the very special hotel that it is. Apart from the hotel, Biarritz is a very special place to visit. It should...

This place is absolutely stunning. Located in the hills, it will provide you with stunning views, fresh air, and the piece and quiet that you need.
The foods is exquisite and of Michelin star standard - make sure you try the souffle desert.
The service is excellent, always there to help - these people really know what they are doing!

I booked this hotel simply because it was the only 5 star in San Sebastian, which was close to Mugaritz Restaurant, where I had booked a lunch surprise for my husbands birthday. The hotel, and indeed San Sebastian, turned out to be the stars of the trip. Mugaritz was lovely but this hotel is absolutely one of the best we have ever stayed in. We stay in top quality hotels all over the world, but this seriously is up there with them, without any of the fuss, arrogance or ego! We would stay...

Stressful start to our stay. After a very long and hot drive, the welcome we received was most unhelpful. Despite the website stating that there is car parking, we arrived to be told that it was full. No alternatives were offered, not even a map showing where other car parks could be found. When I asked, I was told that there are car parks in the town. The streets are very tight and most are one way so it is difficult to negotiate. The car parks in the town all have height barriers so our car,...
