Amazing hotel and staff

Lovely peaceful guest house. With just 5 rooms this is like living as a local. Cooked to order quality breakfast at a sensible time of 0830 , nice little pool with decent sun loungers. Our sea facing room was superb . Other rooms are garden view. Free to use kayaks, range of bikes to explore the local area. Honesty bar and plenty of reading materials. Thoroughly recommended.

Just such a wonderful place. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It really is Paradise 10 stars all the way.

We had the best stay at Avondrood. The location was great to easily walk along the main road in the town with all the restaurants and shops etc. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms spacious and luxurious but what really stood out was the staff. Not only were they just lovely individuals, they couldn't do enough to recommend places to eat, vineyards to drink at and ensured that we had the most amazing stay. Don't hesitate to book Avondrood.

Truly one of the most special places in the world, no place like it. Incredible setting, delicious food and top attention to detail. Patrick and Lamla (spelling?) were terrific and looked after us like family, even driving out to buy me some zamaleks when the hotel didnt stock it. Rooms are spotless and attention to detail terrif. Chef's Warehouse restaurant is a must. This was our second visit in a year and cannot wait to come back again. Very highly recommend it.

Truly a luxury experience with champagne welcome, three course breakfasts, real fires in the rooms and staff, at all levels, who were welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend this accommodation - beautiful rooms in a beautiful setting which was enhanced by the service provided by the staff through the car being washed in the morning, fires being lit in your room in the evening to the outstanding food and willingness by the staff to make your holiday a wonderful experience.

We had the most incredible stay at Mont Rochelle! We were staying for our honeymoon and it was our first stay in our 2 week trip and now that the 2 weeks is up I can confidently say that we stayed in 4 5* hotels during our stay in Cape Town and Mont Rochelle was by far the best, a league above the rest. We stayed at the Villa at Auberge Clermont for 6 days. The villa is great - French country farmhouse style. Very comfy beds, large bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen with cooker, dishwasher fridge and freezer. There is maid service everyday. The verandah is perfect for sitting out in the evenings, and the pool is great. Very peaceful and trainquil. Well run by the staff and owners and perfectly placed a short distance from the centre of Franschhoek.

Where to stay for 5 nights on the 'Garden Route'? Should we rove from one location to the next so we tick them off? We stayed 4 nights here before taking 1 night on the route back to Cape Town. Fantastic stay here. Comfortable and clean. Fantastic buffet menu and marvellous staff. Great decor and very relaxing. Nice to have filtered water taps in the corridors. Parking for disabled was right outside the hotel. Gym was small but useful. Lots of tasty restaurants around the area. So cheap to jump into an UBER to visit Cape Town waterfront

Me and my wife stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even left rose petals and sparkling wine in the room for us. The hotel has a very classic and stylish feel and contrary to other reviews which state noise being a problem we had no issues at all.

Right from our check in and all the time we were there all the staff were so friendly and just excellent. A perfect country house set amongst a vineyards, with comfort and service levels to match.
