"This was our second stay at villa Sevos and it has been fully renovated since our last visit in September 22. We loved it before but it's even better now, clean and modern throughout with huge windows to make the most of the stunning views. The morning visits from the peacocks who live at the farm across the way were a highlight of each day. The staff are just as lovely as we remembered from last time and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place...

"A wonderful villa in a great village. Mrs Fruso is a amazing and helpful housekeeper/host. Having 2 pools was a real treat and the bottom one is very long so good for a few lengths to keep fit. Restaurants a short walk down the hill and a shop. Beach 5 mins away by car in Almyrida. We did scuba diving there. Also lots of beach bars and restaurants. We went on a boat cruise in Kalyves. "The villa was fabulous- 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms made everything effortless. The pool was even better- plenty of room for people to play together or spend time alone. Lina prepared a Cretan feast for us all- 15- for my birthday- and helped me plan an excursion to Knossos and an amazing dinner recommendation in Rethymno- she gave individual recommendations and local tips and made sure everyone had what they needed in the Villa and beyond. Simply outstanding"

"the villa is perfect and the owners are kind and attentive- they cooked us a meal for our arrival and nothing was too much trouble. the photos don't really do it justice- there are extensive grounds with olive groves, fruit trees and an allotment, all of which you are encouraged to use. the taverna, which is a 3 minute walk away, is brilliant- we went 3 times. there are many great days out a short drive away. we had a brilliant time here and would highly recommend it"

"The villa is amazing. All amenities included, except WiFi. There is an odd request for £50 for this after we booked. The WiFi doesn’t reach upstairs. The pool and gardens are regularly maintained and are beautiful. The view is stunning. It’s an out of the way location, so peaceful but you need a car. Many beaches a short drive away. The villa is well managed and any requests were dealt with immediately. Definitely recommend a stay here for a peaceful holiday."

"A lovely villa in a peaceful tranquil retreat. Wonderful views of the coast and surrounding hills. Watch the Eagles soaring above. Very peaceful you can listen to the wildlife around you. The nearest Taverna is just over a kilometer away but you are unlikely to encounter a car walking there. Beautiful lake nearby to see the fresh water turtles."

"Aside from one of the ground floor apts the accommodation was very clean, the location is very poor if you have children, one of the feral cats that freely roam the premises attacked the youngest of our party who was 2yrs old, this meant we couldn’t stay beyond the one night, we moved closer to town for the rest of our stay, the overall feeling was if you could pick up the Villa and drop it somewhere nicer it would be perfect"

"Very secluded location. Villa worked well for us as a party of 16 as it is laid out as 4 separate apartments. Villa owner very helpful and allowed us to set up a communal kitchen. During our stay the owner responded promptly to any request e.g. repair of basketball hoop for the kids! Plenty of supermarkets in nearby Perama. Good beaches within 20-30 minutes drive. Would recommend at least a day in Rethymno - water sports and Old Town."

"We had the most amazing holiday in Almyrida. Villa Iannis was beautiful and the restaurants served great food. We particularly liked Psaros and Francois. The villa was spotless, the pool was bigger than we anticipated and Jan was so kind, helpful and just very lovely. We will be back! The only issue for us was the layout. You can’t see the pool from the villa and there were a lot of steps but our children are 11 and 14 so it was fine for us. Thank you Jan, Dimitra and the Almyrida team ❤️😊"

"House was clean with breathtaking views as advertised! Was not prepared for steep hill access to villa. Took a few trips to be comfortable with the drive; recommend a SUB rental.Communication with owner and house manager was on point. Owner provided detailed directions, as per location and surrounding areas. However, still have to be careful with GPS directions as it can take you areas that are not suitable for tourist driving. We had a wonderful family trip, and would recommend Villa Cassandra!"

"Easily the most relaxing place we have ever visited - so clean and has everything you could possibly need. You will definitely need a car and thanks to the detailed documentation it’s easy to find. There’s isn’t really anywhere to walk to for drinks or food as such but it’s only a short drive to the local village. We made use of the bbq and had some lovely chilled evening watching the sunsets - magical! Perfect escape after our hectic wedding !"
