This was a horrible booking. The ac doesn’t work at all. There is no microwave or iron in the rooms. Bugs swarm around the room all day and night. It is NOT a four star hotel.

Dear Guest, if you asked to the reception to help you with the AC they will do it, explaining how it worked. WE ARE a 4 STARS HOTEL and for this reason you will not find microwave in the room. We choised to haven't iron the the room because in the past a guest burned the courtain. We ask you why you didn't claim personally for the bugs swarm, the night before your departure your Brother went to the reception to ask fo ice and said that he was happy about the hotel. I’ve booked hotels with Expedia for years and I have never experienced any issues until this hotel. This is my first review so please take heed. Pros - Free breakfast Cons- far from everything. The hotel is a HOT BOX. The AC is not working. The roaches love the rooms. No one speaks English well enough to communicate. The rooms are SMALL unless you get a suite. The pictures are not a true representation. This is NOT A FOUR star hotel. No restaurant, no microwave and no irons. Don’t waste your money or your time here.

Dear Guest, thanks for your review, we regret about it, but we are asking why you didn't come to the reception when you found croaches in the room and he AC didn't work. All our staff speak english enough to solve our guest problems. During your stay c/o JC hotel we was full booked and nobody had all the problems you had. The microwave is not an accessory that we advertise on the website so we don't understand why you say that there is not a microwave in the room. We choised to have not an iron because in the past a guest burned courtain in the room. May be you are disappointed because at your departure we asked for the payment of all the extras ( 2 plates of pasta, 2 sodas, the city tax, 2 beers and so on)? Regards

Convenient location, but not a great experience.
The staff were very nice. The decor is modern and the hotel super clean. The pasta I had for dinner was very good. The breakfast I purchased with the room for 8€ per person was coffee and mini croissants. Not a great value, but super convenient. The biggest disappointment was that the air conditioner was not working in our room and it was very difficult to sleep. I did not report until we departed, we were just too tired when we arrived.

Recommended for a morning flight from FCO.
1 night stay after a long drive, before leaving for the airport in the morning. Had a nice room, pretty good shower. Breakfast was fine. Friendly staff. Close to the highway ramp to the airport, and gas station to fill up the rental car.

We was not happy staying at this hotel. When we first arrived, we thought it was good since the staff seem very friendly. But it became problem as the room we had was along the entrance. The noise of people walking, talking, parking car outside our room during night and early morning was very noisy. It was very difficult to sleep. Apart from that, we was told to not eating food in our room when getting our room. We understand that they dont want funny smell in their room. However, their policy was that you can not bring any food to their hotel even eating or not. My family always find breakfast at the hotel very difficult to eat so we bring instant noodle from home. The first morning we ate our noodle where they held breakfast, the staff notify us we can not eat our food at their hotel. They also told us that if they see any foods in our room, eating or not, we will be given penalty. We have travelled in many places but this is the first time we encounter this problem. With their policy, we have to forgo the next 3 breakfast, throw away all of unopen noodle, also throw away packs of ham we bought in Austria as gift to our friends at home since they have threanten to give penalty. We do not like the feeling of being threaten. There are so many ways they can handle the situation but threatening is not acceptable. Our experience at the hotel was very unpleasant.

Dear Sir, first of all many thanks for Your reservation and for the time that You spent in it. First of all, we need to specify a thing. In Italy (place where we have laws to respect) we have (as our Staff told You at the check in and You signed it for acceptance) a law that provide the alimentary sanification in every work place (Hotel, Restaurant, etc) and, for this reason, it's denied to introduce food and beverage from the outside in the Hotel: think about that, for every drink and food that we have in Hotel, we're obliged to present (at any control) the complete documentation and the schedule with ingredients. And then (but, perhaps, this is provided in Your Country) could be as go in a Restaurant and carry the own food with You...........quite incorrect!) As for the accommodation of the room, as it is clearly illustrated, by location and amenities on the Expedia page, if you did not want to be near the parking lot, you could choose one of our Suites and Junior Suites, located on the first floor ... .... but, evidently, it was so good. There is also to specify that during the night and the first morning there is normal traffic and passage that can be expected for these hours, and, we are sure, not intrusive as noise, given the present soundproofing of doors and windows . Obviously, You failed to write that, out of pure courtesy, and free of charge, You were able to check in early, but .... we are sure ..... You forgot it in your judgment. Best Regards

We stayed there three different times and got to know the staff well. On our first day there our luggage was stolen and the staff went out of their way to help us! We really appreciated that. They helped us at a difficult time.

Phenomenal Customer Services
Our first trip to Rome had been amazing and JC Hotel definitely was one of the factor. From the moment we arrived and all the way till we left, the staffs had been amazing. I wished I remembered all the names, but it doesn't matter because everyone that we had interacted with had been so helpful, polite, kind and just overall AMAZING!! Ok, so the hotel is not very close to center of Rome, but we actually like it that way. We got to learn and experience taking the public transport like the locals do. Kinda cool to share the bus trip with kids on their way to school in the morning, definitely a good glimpse of how the locals are. The Hotel is very nice though, super clean, amazing shower and ample space bathroom, compare to others that we come across. Our first night, we were so exhausted, and the staffs offered to make us drinks and whipped up a couple delicious sandwiches and delivered to our room. The breakfast spread that they have in the morning, is five star standard. Definitely recommending this place to our friends.

Great hotel in the outskirts of Rome. Jose at JC Hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. Best employee there. He was very professional and helpful all week long. Places like that only make the stay great because of employees like him. I highly recommend the JC Hotel!!!!

What a great hotel.
Stayed 4 nights and it was an absolute delightful experience. Room was clean and well set out. The shower is the best I have ever experienced in Italy. A most delicious breakfast with an abundance of items. A small hotel but a real gem of a place. Bus to Laurentina subway station is only about 200 metres away. Had a car but used the bus/metro. A 3 day go anywhere pass is available at Laurentina station.

The most important part of vacation, is maintaining the minor creature comforts of home without the added frustrations of traveling. After a 9 hour flight from NYC to Rome all you want to do is be pampered and reassured that a hotel decision you made months ago will now be your home for the next two weeks.Through the help of Elisa, Jose, Marco and Ivano at the JC Contemporary Hotel I had one of the most memorable birthdays ever and felt like I never left the comforts of my own home. In order to celebrate my 29th birthday I decided to go to Italy for 13 days with one of the most inspirational people in my life, my sister. What better way to celebrate turning 29 but to go to one of the most indulgent countries ever, Italy. To experience amazing cuisine, culture and most importantly human connection through art and history. Since I Travel quite a bit I know the most tedious yet important task is choosing the right hotel. So I always choose hotels based on there ability to go above and beyond and simply put, affordability. The hotel that stood out the most was the JC Contemporary Hotel. The JC hotel was modern, affordable, offered complimentary breakfast and wifi and was located very close to public transportation, so it was a no-brainer. However, I did not know how great of a choice I made until we actually stayed. One of the first interactions that my sister and I had was when we were welcomed by Marco. Who greeted us on our first day with a charming smile and a very homey air that reassured us that for the next two weeks we were home. He then took our information, allowed us to check into our room early and even invited us to celebrate the JC Hotel’s 5th Anniversary. It was just our luck or by divine well that the night we arrived was the same night as the anniversary. In which they had an elaborate party with large assortments of Italian cuisine, desserts, drinks and a band that played a symphony of amazing music. If it couldn't get any better, the hotel room was modern, well kept and extremely spacious for two people. It was very comfortable and one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. Some of the highlights was the wonderful breakfast served every morning with full access to cappuccino, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The service was so luxurious every morning we were greeted with a smile and by the 2 day the breakfast attended would already have our cappuccino’s ready. One thing that really stood out to me was halfway into our trip when I requested hot chocolate because I wanted something other than cappuccino. And although the hotel did not have hot chocolate, Jose ordered it for me and had it waiting for me the very next morning. Can we say 5 star service or what.Another highlight was the amazing customer service and how knowledgable Elisa and Jose were. Whenever we needed to go somewhere the both of them were like our private tour guides suggesting different activities, restaurants, ways of travel and things to do before we left Rome. Elisa who was just as beautiful as she was smart was very sharp suggesting the best all you could eat sushi restaurant, what beaches to see (and yes there are beautiful beaches in rome) and what malls had the best shopping. She was literally one of the best parts about our hotel experience next to Jose. As an avid traveler and sucker for great customer service I would highly recommend the JC Contemporary Hotel and would definitely stay again!!!

The hotel was nice and clean with a very modern feel right up to the changing colour of the lights in reception however it was a long way to the centre of Rome; a bus and a train ride in-fact!! What is advertised on the Internet and the hotels website regarding a shuttle service to Rome and the airport is completely wrong, this was not the case. Also, there is no restaurant at the hotel as a place for 10 people as a maximum to eat breakfast does not constitute a restaurant to me. The food on the room service menu comes from a local pizza and kebab house so be warned when ordering as this to me again isn't my idea of room service! Lastly, don't waste your time with making special requests as these won't be listened too. I was there on honeymoon with my wife with the trip to Rome was a surprise and asked 3 times for something 'special' to be done but nothing materialised. All in all, not bad but 4* rating is being VERY generous.

Surprising hotel in the middle of nowhere
Odd looking hotel, built like an American Motel. But the room was very good, bathroom great, staff responsive and the breakfast was good. Good price too!

Brilliant hotel & Rome experience
The hotel was brilliant; very helpful English speaking staff who go out of their way to help with a smile but not in an over bearing way, all 10 standard rooms ( very high standard) are on ground level, if you drive you can park right outside your door. A bulb went off in our room at 11.30 one night, a member of staff changed it without fuss or issue within 2 minuets; staff cover reception 24/7, we only seen a very small team of three staff so they get to know you and your needs very well, The continental breakfast each morning was lovey, wide choice of pastries, yoghurts, cakes, juice etc, all very fresh, you can eat in a lovely patio area outside in the sun. The hotel is located at the edge of Rome, approximately 9 miles from the Centre, you have to travel out via bus & metro to eat; the bus stop is round the corner of the hotel and several buses do run to the metro station; 15 minutes approx, the metro runs every 10 to 15 minutes and takes approx 20 minutes to to the Colosseum, the last bus back is at 11.20pm, if you miss this it will cost you dearly in a taxi. Rome was a fabulous experience, not enough space here to elaborate to do it justice, go and experience it

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, eager to give any extra details they could. The room was clean and a fantastic shower. Getting there was easy once we knew how to do it. Metro to end of the line (15 mins) and a 10 min bus then 2 min walk to the hotel. Would definitely go back.

Gorgeous hotel! Perfect holiday!
It was my first holiday away with my boyfriend and it was truly perfect! The hotel was stunning! The staff were very helpful it cost is €24 for a week pass for public transport(bus's and underground we used ours for) It was a little way out from the city centre but we walked it some days so wasn't to far! other days we used public transport, it was very straight forward. The room was stunning, cleaned every day, breakfast was pleasant, I can't recommend this hotel enough!

Nice hotel.
As a couple, we stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was lovely. Very clean and tidy and well-worth getting to. Breakfast buffet included added to its positivity. Staff were very friendly and willing to help, and able to speak English. We booked this hotel as a package deal, which was not too expensive considering us only being a young student couple. The lower price may have been that this hotel is right on the outskirts of Rome, just inside the ring road. The only set-back was that it's location made it a little hard to get to at first, having to take the metro to laurentina, and then get the right bus that would take us to the closest bus stop, followed by a 500m walk to the hotel. Getting into Rome from the hotel was much easier. We bought the Roma pass on arrival, which I highly recommend for the length of stay as it included all travel on buses, trams and metro, access to 2 museums and discounted access to other areas in Rome. Overall a very rewarding experience, and one I would like to share again.

I wouldn't go back
This hotel is not ideal if you are on holiday as it is far away from the city centre, it's bascially on the motorway. You have to take the bus and train. The rooms are very clean, but the television only offers programmes which are in Italian, the hotel does not have much to offer apart from a breakfast buffet. Be aware if you're booking with expedia as the hotel check in time is at 6pm and if u arrive early they will try and charge you 70 euros. Although I enjoyed my time in Rome I think if I booked another hotel it would have made it a lot better.

We initially were concerned about the area as its outside of the city and on a motorway but the hotel was very very lovely once you get there- modern, clean, friendly and really well presented. Marco the receptionist was very kind and helpful and really was the best service you could receive. The room was lovely with a big TV and all modern appliances. tea in the room. We were very happy. The breakfast was very pleasant

On the Southern edge of Rome. Metro to the end of the line, then a single bus with not changes puts you within about 150 meters. The cost is also much lower than within Rome. The staff was great, the breakfast decent, and the rooms have recently been redone. The bathroom was good as well, but the shower was molding and needed a good cleaning that it never got while we were there.

Hotel on the outskirts of Rome
Somewhat complicated to find, off the beaten track, this beautifully designed - and well-run - hotel is difficult to recommend. It's a grotty, industrial location. Even the airport shuttle bus driver couldn't find it after two expletive-laden telephone calls to his boss back at the airport! Unless you've got a car, don't consider it. We had to walk to the bus stop, get the bus to Laurentina metro station, stay out the whole day and come back late. A taxi back at night will cost around E30 and during the day, to the Vatican, for example, E42. Therefore, what you save by booking this (relatively) inexpensive hotel is lost on taxi fares and, more importantly, your valuable time. Having said that, it didn't overly inconvenience us if you are of an adventurous disposition. The buffet breakfast is a big plus, but get there early to make the most of it and ask for more coffee/tea if you want it. This review isn't a reflection on the hotel, but the location.

The hotel is on the outskirts of the city near the ring road. It is in a quiet area 15 mins from the airport and metro. The staff are very helpful and very polite.The hotel is modern, clean and the breakfast is continental with an excellent choice. We had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our break in Rome.

Off the beaten path but well worth the bus ride! It was a little difficult to find once we figured out which bus to take and where to get off. The staff was exceptional, first class. We don't speak Italian and wanted to order dinner one night so the front desk called a local restaurant and asked if they would deliver, downloaded us a menu, and ordered it for us in Italian. Awesome!! We also needed laundry service and they had an offsite service that they hadn't used before but guaranteed us it would be good. Said it would be delivered the next day but they had it to us that evening!! Pressed and folded!! Nice enough to be invited to the owners birthday bash on site - treated us like one of the family.

Beautiful, modern hotel with very friendly staff!
The hotel is quite far from the actual city centre (35mins£ but this should not put you off. You can get a bus from just outside the hotel which will take you to the Metro station. From the station, you can get to all the tourists destinations very easily. The hotel was very very clean. The staff were amazing! They spoke very good English and were so helpful. They were always smiling, friendly and happy to help. The room was a good size. The bathroom is tiled beautifully as the shower is huge. However there is no frosted glass so you can see into the shower from the bedroom which was a little odd. The room comes with a TV but there are only 1 or 2 channels that had English speaking shows. Breakfast was wonderful. There was a great selection of cakes, pastries, juice, cereal and fruit. It was the same breakfast everyday, but with so much choice provided, you could have something differen every day.

Good value and easy to reach by autostrada.
We chose JC as a value destination just off the autostrada and away from city driving. Hotel is small but very modern and still looks new. Neighborhood is definitely unremarkable, but not a problem . Included breakfast was not extravagant but certainly sufficient. Desk staff was very welcoming, polite and helpful.

I found the hotel to be very clean. The staff were exceptionally helpful. In fact, without useful information that the staff had given me. The trip would not have been nearly as good. One person in particular named Andrea was fantastic. He provided so much useful info about the metro and getting around Rome.

Personel sympathique. Établissement calme.literie tres agréable. Propreté de la chambre impeccable. Je recommande cet établissement. Par contre..nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la salle de sport.

Je n'ai rien a redire cet hôtel est très bien, propre, les employés sont accueillants et souriants, le petit déjeuner est bien sans avoir trop de choix il y a la base du petit déjeuner. Seul bémols: La douche est vitrée donc la personne qui se douche est vue de la personne qui est dans la chambre ce qui est un peu gênant et l'emplacement de l’hôtel est un peu loin du centre mais surmontable avec le bus + métro.
