Loved that the rooms are oceanfront and easily beach accessible. Tho older rooms , they were spacious with a kitchenette. Walkable to shops and old train ride. And many restaurants close by.

The hotel needs some. Renovations, it’s a bit dated. Fabulous ocean view. You could walk out your patio and be on the beach.

The rooms are small, not overly maintained. The room was not freshly cleaned, smelled like it has been closed awhile. Bed and pillows really needs replaced, just plain old. On top of everything we both got sick the next day. No recommendations.

I loved that this property is on the beach!!! The building is a little outdated, but the beds were comfortable and it was a really nice location. I would stay here again.

It’s not super fancy, but it’s fine, and the beach view from my 2nd floor room is amazing! Room is very spacious, and has all amenities you need…just more motel like, and older property. If you want new and fancy, I wouldn’t recommend. If you want simple with great views….yes! And the price was decent too

The receptionist at night was great welcoming of the one in the morning was not really trying to help when we couldn't figure out how to turn on the flat stove all the silverware and some of the dishes in the kitchenette were dirty the view of the room was amazing but honestly I rather would have slept outside after going into the unit

True oceanfront, great location. Nice staff. Or a great rate for a last-minute stay. We were there for two nights so didn’t request housekeeping. Overall, the motel seems run down and not very clean. Several items not working in unit. Towels smelled bad. View is fantastic but I wouldn’t stay there again.

This is an older property, but well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. View was unbeatable, and the walk to the beach was super easy. We will definitely stay here again.

Location was convenient and it is closer to the restaurants and shops. Amazing view! We stayed in 2nd floor. Property is old and needs renovation. Bed and Mattresses were old and you will hear squeaky noise all the time.

We love staying at Silver Sands when we visit Rockaway Beach, especially with the upgrades they have made and excellent ocean views. We had experience with other places where it states "Ocean View", but we barely saw any Ocean at all. With Silver Sands, we enjoyed the easy few seconds access to the beach, cute church next door and all the dining spots close by. It's definitely worth a try staying at this hotel

Own private back deck ans your own access to the beach. Booked a doubke bed on accident, which was fine, but it was nice yhat there is a wall and separate door in the room we were in to have more privacy if you do happen to need the second bed.

It was conveniently located right on the beach with a beautiful view of the waves from our window. The staff were pleasant. The room was dank mildewy smelling, the carpet was icky and almost sticky. The sink dripped all night. The couch had a hard shiny layer of filth on it. The beds were terrible! The foot of the mattress was slanted up wards and it was dented in the middle. Worst two nights sleep ever!

The only negative with this area is the lack of dinning options. There are very few resturants to choose from and they close really early at this time of year (7pm).
