"This was one of the best experiences with a vacation rental we had in many years. The location is amazing: 5 min from one of the best redwood state parks, and very close from two other parks and the ocean. The surrounding small towns are little gems literally hidden under the canopy of redwoods. The house was very comfortable, had a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and well-designed interior. It was so quiet, peaceful, and the air was amazing. The communication with the host was super-fast. We had a minor problem with the shower not draining properly, and hosts responded immediately, and"

The only negative was a few issues with the facility maintenance, including lukewarm or no hot water, hard to turn sink faucet and loud banging door to our room and broken curtain slide."

"Fern River Resort was such a special getaway. We were surrounded by breathtaking redwood trees, a very clean river on the property and wonderful staff. Check in was a breeze and instructions were super clear on how to get to our cabin. Our cabin #2 was extremely clean and very cozy, the bedding was plush and pink! I loved that we had the option to cook there. At the property, Lisa was able to also accommodate an extension on our last day there thankfully because we weren't ready to leave yet, she was profesional and very kind. We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending this special place in the woods to friends and family."
