"This was a good, inexpensive option for staying the weekend in Santa Cruz. Staff was nice. The pool and hot tub were a good size and very family friendly. Parking spaces were tight but there was no trouble finding a space. Close to several restaurants that smelled really good. Walking distance to the Boardwalk and considerably cheaper than the other options. Clean, basic rooms. CONS: The apartment complex next door on the south side was very loud, but quieted before 10PM. The bedstands were made of sheet metal, so accidentally kicking them made a huge racket. Parts of the surrounding neighborhood felt run-down, and we may have witnessed a shoplifting occur at a nearby market. Bottom line: We'd stay again mainly due to the price and the pool, but we'd be on the lookout for deals at other openings."
