Top Monterey Hotel Reviews
Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa
"Pros: Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. Grounds were great--firepits with endless s'mores, heated pool, ping pong table, chess and foosball in the back for the children. Checkin/out was seamless and again the staff were all so friendly which really elevated the experience. Con: The rooms are a bit dated and dark even if you have a patio. We weren't in the room that much but I recommend you have all your lights on when you are in there otherwise it's a bit depressing. However, the friendliness of the staff, the nice lobby and grounds, and the convenience of the location were able to make our stay very nice."
Travelodge by Wyndham Monterey Bay
"Decent"
Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
"We typically stay on Cannery Row at the InterContinental so this was our first at the Portola. PERFECT location for my husband and I and a gorgeous beachy room. He walked to the pier for a fishing day, and I was able to safely walk with others on a pedestrian trail on the boardwalk each morning. Alvarado Street has so many fun shops and restaurants for nighttime. My only negative was one of the mornings I went downstairs to the restaurant by myself. I was seated, then ignored for 20 minutes. Waitstaff made eye contact, but never came to my table. I ended up going to Starbucks. Other than that ideal stay."
Scottish Fairway Inn
"The room was clean, sheets were pristine, and the room even came with a small kitchen. Wifi was good enough, the staff were friendly, but it did take some time to get their attention. The only real issues was the lack of air conditioning, which meant having to keep the windows open by an airport. Also, the bath, when first turned on, would spout out rusty debris before becoming clear. Luckily the water from the shower head didn't have the same issue. Overall a decent experience. Would stay again."
Lone Oak Lodge
"Overall it was a good experience. Clean and all. Kitchen was clean and ready with plates, pots, etc. The WiFi is terribly slow and if you like watching tv the tv is small. Also A/C works well just has a funky smell."
The Monterey Hotel
"The lobby carpet has some age, but it is a wonderful classic property. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very well maintained and very spacious. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Our only issue is the road noise and how loud the room is. If you crack open a window its unbelievable. With no A/C it is a tough choice .. cool temps and noise or closed windows and heat but quiet. Great location with wonderful restaurants close by. Parking was a minor inconvenience, but is not too bad."
Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa
"Place was fantastic! Staff was great!"
Monterey Beach Hotel, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel
"The room was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the beach. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!"
Mariposa Inn & Suites
