We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Absolute gem of a place to stay. Gorgeous room with everything you need & so peaceful. The food was really good both for dinner & breakfast. We visited Fountains Abbey which was only 2 miles away. And we could do parkrun with plenty of time to get back before checkout & eat breakfast. Would love to return.

Lovely place to stay. Was just the two of us. We would say 2nd bedroom is suitable for children rather than infants or adults, due to steep stairs, and layout of the room. Teenagers would love it I'd imagine.
Only thing that let it down slightly was the small seating area outside. Just needs a little TLC. A quick sweep out would have helped.
Other than that Masham and this property well worth visit, if maybe slightly over priced.

Anne, out host, had thought of just about everything and a bit more. The annex is compact with a friendly feel to it and all equipment is excellent quality. Anne’s efforts to welcome us with necessities went beyond expectations and our stay was without hitches of any kind. Brilliant!

Had an incredible stay here. The house and surrounding area are stunningly beautiful, and the rooms are very cosy. Loved the amenities provided and the staff were wonderful, down to earth and happy to help with whatever you needed. We booked a room with a conservatory and had an amazing time watching the bats fly in and out of the tree next door.
Breakfast was wonderful, as was the dinner service. I can see why you have so many regular guests!
