"Lovely hotel in a great location. Bathroom sink had hair on it! The bar man at the bar was so rude like he didn’t want to be there! Which made us uncomfortable! All the other staff were lovely, excellent breakfast."

"My club room was spacious and comfy. My only criticism was the room was rather hot, which is understandable in the recent sunny/warm weather. Only being able to open the window around 20mm certainly didnt help and could also be classed potential hazard in the event of a fire."

What is a historic hotel like in Ripley?
Historic hotels give guests the chance to stay in a place officially recognised with a historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world can be castles, palaces, grand homes or even old police stations, pubs, lodges or skyscrapers — any building that's been identified as being of special interest. These types of hotels in Ripley typically preserve authentic elements like traditional architecture and period features in guestrooms or communal spaces.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
These terms are similar. The term "historic hotel" is more common in the U.S., while you'll often hear "heritage hotel" in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to focus on the architecture and actual building. Mainly a heritage hotel draws meaning from the cultural value that the place has and how it inspired the community.
Do historic hotels in Ripley have modern facilities?
Yes. Every effort is made to preserve historic facades and treasured traditions, but hotel interiors are fitted with modern conveniences and safety features. Guests can expect the usual amenities you'd get from a hotel such as WiFi, heating and air conditioning, and updated bathroom facilities. In Ripley, booking a historic hotel doesn't mean you're picking a place that's uncomfortable for guests or rundown.
