"We loved our stay at mallard Lodge and would definitely recommend. The weather was awful but expected in January but it didn't stop the kids fun. Lots of places to see. Great walks. Was wonderful to return to a warm, cosy lodge and a relaxing dip in the hot tub. Not fantastic TV reception or WiFi but we were there to escape all that. Anything we needed help with, selina was only a call away. We are looking forward to visiting again. X"

"The photos do not do this space justice - it is perfect for hosting large groups / families and being able to unwind in a relaxing environment.The hot tub was great, and the log burner was also a brilliant touch.We did notice some pet hair (not ours) which allergy sufferers had issue with, however we were able to clean with the tools provided.Great access to local walks."

"The lodge is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. The area is lovely and close to Kendal (about 16 miles). The inside of the lodge is decorated lovely and well laid out, and the beds were super comfy. The hot tub is under a covered deck area so could be used while raining which was a huge plus. The property is pet friendly but if you have dogs like ours that tend to wander off then it is worth noting that there are no areas fenced off. For us this was not ideal. The only other...
