"Beautifully appointed lodge room situated on the edge of a golf complex approx 30 minute walk from Kendal. We stayed in Dalesway, lodge 2. Lovely fresh linen and very comfortable bed. Nice selection of complimentary toiletries in a luxury bathroom with both a bath and huge walk in shower. The main bedroom was a bit small with no room for open cases so probably best for an overnight or weekend stay. Note also that rooms are not serviced daily. "The Kings Head is so atmospheric - immediately upon walking in we felt at home, warm and cosy, very welcome after walking up to the 9 Standards Rigg in fog and rain. We stayed in Room 5, which we think was either above the bar or games room area and although we were aware of the music etc, it didn’t detract from our comfort and enjoyment. The room was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable. Fresh fruit always available on the way to our room which is a lovely touch.

"What a fabulous place and just a couple of miles out of Windermere. The Inn has a great atmosphere and the speciality ales are just what you need after along day of hiking. The rooms are great, superclean and very comfortable. To top it all, the cooked breakfasts in the morning were both hearty and delicious. Thr staff were also super helpful too. This was the first time we have stayed here but will definitely come again. Would highly recommend, especially perfect for dog owners. "
