"Lovely little place and the hot tub is a fantastic bonus! Instructions given were really easy to follow and it was great to have a dedicated parking space too. I forgot to take my hairdryer so if you need one- remember to take! They provide towels, toiletries, washing up facilities, tea/coffee and even robes for the hot tub. "You really get what you paid for. The location is just 10-15 mins drive away from bowness of Windermere so it’s really a good location. "We had a lovely stay overall. We visited for one night and were kindly given a complimentary upgrade to a lodge room, which was a really thoughtful touch. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout, and the breakfast was excellent. I’m unable to comment on the evening dining or spa facilities as we didn’t use them—unfortunately I couldn’t access the spa due to being pregnant—but they looked fantastic from what we saw and from the photos. The only downside was the cleanliness, which didn’t quite meet expectations. When we checked in, there were dead bugs on the bed and side table, and quite a few cobwebs in the outdoor area of the lodge, which meant we didn’t use the seating outside. At breakfast, we also noticed dead flies on the windowsills, which isn’t what you’d expect from a hotel of this standard. That said, everything else about our stay was great, and we would return. It just felt like the cleaning standards may have slipped slightly during the weekend we visited."
