The Carlton Hotel

"Not a good hotel. Very tired and in need of updating/ decorating. Very basic Would not recommend"

Grand Burstin Hotel Folkestone
6/10 Okay
"For a 1 night stay it was ok… upgraded to an executive room.. not sure what we got for the extra! Room was very basic, but for the price couldn’t grumble too much. Room was not setup as a double as requested, but reception was quick to get this organised. Did notice when maid came and change the bedding etc, that underneath was stained and not very nice. Basic amenities onsite. Paid for the upgrade for breakfast included. Not worth the money, buffet style with not much of an option. Could have purchased elsewhere down the road for same price and better quality. For the price it was good. But not for more than 1 night."

The Falstaff Ramsgate
10/10 Excellent
"Everything good,kind people"

The Falstaff Hotel
8/10 Good
"Hotel as you enter is lovely, a cosy vibe and friendly welcome from staff. Lots of seating area for drinks by the bar. We stayed in a junior suite which was decorated lovely, bathroom was great with robes and nice soaps (only thing I’d recommend changing is the floor in bathroom which looked oddly cheap compared to everything else). Lovely tea and coffee facilities with biscuits is a nice addition for when you get back from a day out. Happy hour with complimentary cheese and biscuits is a fab idea and the espresso martinis were nice. Only downsides that took the shine off things, one was the TV didn’t have apps or phone casting even though it said it had both it’s not actually set up and we’d plan to come back early and watch a film on Netflix so that was a shame. Then I slept terribly as the walls were so thin (room 57) and I could hear the man next door or below, unsure which, snore all night so I barely slept then when I did I was woke up early by the same people at 6.45am getting up for their day talking!! You really need to sound proof the room properly that’s not ok. And if you can’t sound proof you need to provide good ear plugs and a white noise machine. Overall lovely just the edge taken off by not sleeping."

Best Western Abbots Barton Hotel
8/10 Good
"We arrived on the hottest weekend of the year and our room had no AC. However, the staff had prepared the room the best they could, a fan, curtain closed etc. and it was fine. We were in the refurbished side and the room was lovely, clean and modern. The breakfast buffet wasn’t great - limited continental and low quality hot items. Staff were friendly and efficint. I would recommend this hotel for its lovely room, parking and close to town."

Spencer Court Hotel
8/10 Good
"We were very lucky to get a parking spot as it was just on the road at the front of the building. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the en-suite consisted of toilet and shower only - the wash hand basin was in the bedroom where there were no towel rails. The gentleman who greeted us was excellent as he had to do everything including cooking the breakfasts due to his manager being unwell."

ABode Canterbury
8/10 Good
"The staff at this hotel were very helpful and friendly. Location was 10/10. Food was amazing and atmosphere was lovely. Fire alarm went off at 4am but that was the only thing that let the trip down. I would stay here again 100%"
