"Beautiful stay at this 150 year old property. Intimately sized which is nice. Nicely updated with new furniture & plumbing. Scrumptious bed. Enjoyed the restaurant for 2 dinners & had lovely meals. My only surprises were that I had to stand on a chair to use the hairdryer near a mirror. And when I asked if they could call a taxi I was told “no.” And they could not provide any taxi numbers to call either. For a hotel of this caliber that was unexpected. All in all - it’s a very special memory having stayed there"

"The pods are great and the rooms are clean though a bit small but functional we just would’ve liked to have had a little more housekeeping attention and the dining room was booked both nights we were there which was frustrating because it was so beautiful, but the breakfast were delicious and the location is ideal"

"The place is older and hasn't seen the best of maintenance in recent years it seems. The door to the bathroom in our room did not close due to misalignment. The shower stall had mold in the corners. The room itself smelled and felt damp. Nobody on site to complain to so we lived with it. Considering our experience and what was paid we would not come back unless other options were booked up. Yes the place is cheaper than a lot in the area however it was still overpriced in our eyes."

"The room is clean but small. We could smell the coffee from our room when breakfast begins at 7pm. There is no refrigerator in our room, which is fine for us, as it is not hot summer yet. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant downstairs is terrific - we had the dinner and every dish was very well prepared, e.g. the authentic Scottish Grille, the black tempura pudding. The view in front of the dining room is amazing - either on light rainy day or blue sunny sky. Only wish the parking lot is bigger and the room is more updated."
