The cottage was so quaint, great welcome pack with everything you need with a homely feel. Definitely will be returning with my dogs, ideal location for walking with a friendly pub within walking distance. Great communication with clear instructions, before arriving and after. Ian kindly contacted within a hour of leaving as i had forgotten something in the cottage.

There's a petrol station not far. But definitely need a car

It was faultless. Warm and clean and everything you need for a stay as close as you can get to Alton Towers. Space to park and leave your car. 2-3 minutes walk to the turnstiles at Alton towers. Highly recommend the place.

The accommodation was very high spec and lovely. Situated a 10 minute walk into town with supermarkets near by. Check in was very easy and ready to park too. Plenty of scenery to look at in the area too.

Great base for walking, all facilities as expected, heating very easy to operate and the most stunning view.

The property is very well located on a hill above Bakewell. Parking for a medium sized car on site is a bonus. Bakewell is a busy town, full of tourists. Ate at Charleston’s, do not recommend. Everything was great, we enjoyed our 3 nights at Bakewell

Can't fault anything about the stay. The cottage, the facilities, the cleanliness, the communication and the value were all absolutely impeccable.

Quaint perfect little cottage in the heart of Castleton

Ideal location for walking in the national park

Thoroughly recommended

Lovely quirky place, close to the local amenities! Everything was catered for and a welcome gift greeted us on arrival. The secluded garden was a little treat to relax in. Rooms were spacious and clean. Parking outside and on the street! Will definitely come back!

Really good accommodation in great location. Milk, bread and other things in the fridge. Easy check-in. Very pleased

Great location for walks in the Peak District, with off road parking. Nicely presented house with fresh and clean decoration, well furnished and equipped.

Still thinking to...

We had a wonderful stay at Curlew Cottage. The location is great with fantastic views over the dales, although the weather was against us a bit. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. Everything we needed for self catering was provided. The only thing we would have liked was a mattress topper as my wife and I found the bed a little firm, but that is personal preference. We had the absolute pleasure of seeing the resident barn owl on a few occasions which was a real treat. All in...

Absolutely lovely accommodation with great hosts, would definitely come back!

Very quiet location. Peaceful outlook.

Quiet location on a small farm (29 acres) just outside Buxton. Very well equipped kitchen and good internet/wifi. Friendly helpful owners who live on-site. Great location and a base for the Peak District walks plus there is a nice walk from Cowdale farm to King Sterndale. If you’re into climbing there is a rock face used by climbers less than 500 metres from the accommodation.

Lovely cottage and well equipped.
