"Yes the poolside furniture was comfy and clean. The rooms was spacious.the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was near all the activities we did the Zoo the beach and Belmont and Balboa park."

"The hotel’s atmosphere has noticeably changed over the past few years. There is no longer service by the pool, so guests must walk up to the bar to order drinks or food. I stayed on the 12th floor, and the hallway had a strong sewage odor when exiting the elevator and walking to the room. The room itself was clean and had no odor, but the hallway smell was very unpleasant each time I walked to my room. It would also be great if the rooftop bar were open in the evenings. On a positive note, the staff service was good. I didn’t raise the issue during my stay because I was on a tight schedule, but looking back I wish I had. The odor on the floor leading to my room was unacceptable and should be addressed."

"The room had a broken outlet but enough for me to use else where. However, my biggest issue was the lack of privacy and the cost cutting door they provide for bathroom. With the "budget" room they have a sliding slated barn door. For the price of this room I'm disappointed in the privacy, or lack there of, we were provided. We had the patio and it was nice for quick access to the marina walkway. I liked everything but the actual room. "

"This place was listed as a hotel. It is not a hotel. It is a motel and the entrance to your rooms are from outside. The rooms have recently been redone still some old furniture, but they’re hard floors no carpet they were clean. The property itself needed a lot of work the lobby when you walk in had a weird smell and really needed an updating, but the people were nice based on the ratings. I expected it to be higher than it was."

"I have never done this before, but our stay was subpar. We almost left after check-in because our room was not clean. The mattresses on the bunk beds had pee stains, the pillowcases on the king bed were stained, and bathroom did not appear to be very clean at all. The manager moved us to a different room on the floor, as the whole floor was under renovation. The second room was a bit better, but even the newly renovated room had old mattresses and pillows that were not much better than the others. The pillows were so flat and hard that we had to stack two to be somewhat comfortable. We decided to stay, but were next door to a family whose child screamed most of the time we were there. We had to pay an additional $78 for parking, a $40 fee for checking in one hour early (which we got refunded because we had to switch rooms), and a $150 security deposit that I still have not received credit back for, even though we checked out 4 days ago. We will not return to this property."

"We paid for villa room but there is not really a difference with the studio room, hidden fees, air conditioning smell bad, property was nice but yeah overall we tagged it as "nit coming back""
