I would rather stay at a thruway motel
After booking our hotel/flight package we were extremely excited. A quick extended-weekend getaway totalling 4 nights and 5 days. We arrived to beautiful punta cana friday 10/13/17 around 1:30pm, this is where the lovely trip ends and the disaster begins. The hotel doesn't offer any direct shuttle service, so we were forced to set one up third party. After contacting expedia numerous times to set transportation up/entering my flight information in on their online website I came up with ZERO answers. Strike 1. We then arrived to the Riu "Palace," Macao, a glorified holiday inn. We had no idea prior to arriving that it would be dirty, way outdated, and overall mediocre(being generous,) because expedia glorifies the hotel for whatever reason. Our initial room we were checked in to had a few pubic hairs on the blanket, disgusting and dirty pieces of furniture including the mini bar. We requested to be moved, the front desk gave us a new key. We were moved to the same disgusting, horrific, POOR, room we were in, however we were moved up one floor( so frustrated at this point I had to chuckle a bit.) The poor excuse of a hotel then suggested I call expedia for help, because the hotel could no longer help us(second opportunity for a LAUGH, what a JOKE!!!!!) I contacted expedia on MY DIME INTERNATIONAL @.20cents per minute for over 60 minutes, dealing with Abraham, a quote un quote supervisor,(third, but not final opportunity to laugh.) We got NOWHERE!
