Explendid beach

Pros: The beach
Cons: WI-FI + Printing facility
Location: Water sports, sailing, Saona Island's visit. Casino (so ..so).
The beach is very nice, facilities are ok, food is good. One complain was the wi-fi service. Signal was weak in the rooms. Another complain is there is no facility to print. It was imposible to print my way-back check-in ticket.

Great hotel close to the beach

Pros: No mosquitoes. Great food selection in the buffet and the restaurants. Very nice staff. The room was very nice and clean, with nice A/C.
Cons: Designate smoking and non-smoking areas. Prohibit smoking in public places or at least where children are present.
Location: Expedia rep was very helpful and suggested us great excursion options like horseback riding to the cave, Carribean Pirate tour and Santo Domingo trip.
Probably one of the best hotels in Dominican Republic. Great evening entertainment by professional dance team. The entertainment staff invite adults for dances and make it a pleasant experience. Their evening shows engage and include kids. Nice kids club. The cleaning lady did a great job and even folded towels into animals. There is drying rack in the shower and on the balcony, which is a big deal if you swim often. The hotel grounds and the beach are very beautiful and are well maintained and clean. Lots of available beach loungers. Very safe hotel with lots of security. This hotel is in the area with not many waves, so you can snorkel right near the beach. There are concrete hollow cones near the edge of the swim zone and they provide nice habitat for sea life like corals, sea urchins and several kinds of small and bigger fish. Kayak and catamaran (sail boat) rental are complimentary, diving sessions about 200 bucks. This is "smoke-anytime-anywhere-you-want" facility: People smoke in the buffet, in the lobby, on a beach, by the pool, in the entertainment hall and pretty much everywhere and anytime they want with zero regard for the people around them. This was a very strong turnoff for us. Also, the staff spoke all kinds of languages (primarily Spanish but also French, German, Italian, Russian etc.) but little English. The entertainment part in Spanish is difficult to understand if you don't know Spanish.

Great place clean , fun amazing pool and beach the food is amazing and the service out of this world it's a true place for a peaceful or romantic scape

Awesome vacation. Exceeded our expectations!

Pros: Everything!
The resort is the perfect size. All room locations were easy access to the beach or lobby. The grounds are manicured to perfection. The food was excellent. There was something for everyone. We have stayed at 13 different all inclusive, and this was an all around favorite. To the picky people out there this is not the same as a 5 star in the states, but you also paying only a fraction of the cost. This resort is family friendly, with the majority of the guest being from Europe.

Good Vacation Experience

Nice place, surrounded by beautiful trees and plants and some exotic animals such as turkeys and flamingos, good beach access. Rooms need a little remodeling, no electrical outlets near the beds or nightstands to charge smartphones/tablets. WiFi is slow. Reservation restaurants are ok. A relaxing place, affordable, nice and all inclusive buffet. Food quality is good. No noisy teenagers or drunk spring breakers. A lot of European, North and South American tourists. Tourist friendly, instructions in multiple languages; attentive, friendly staff. Only one unpleasant experience with a rude hostess at the Colonial restaurant who boasted about being a sommelier and without asking condescendingly lectured us on how to drink wine and even how to hold a wine glass (being Chilean we are very well versed and knowledgeable in our own wines as well as with Spanish, Argentinian, Italian and French wines, mind you). She even dared to tell us where we should be sitting at the table making inappropriate comments. Fortunately an isolated incident; she probably got scolded since within a few moments she disappeared not to be seen again. Lots of resort employees soliciting, trying to sell stuff which can get really annoying. Some staff members were too comfortable addressing hotel guests with terms of endearment unaware that some people were not comfortable with it due to cultural differences. A great value proposition with a more relaxing atmosphere than Punta Cana's most popular resorts.

Great resort for the family

Pros: Cleanliness, buffet, employee kindness, drinks, atmosphere.
Cons: Separate restaurants could be improved. We ate at steakhouse and it was so so. Had reservations at Mexican and Japanese places but cancelled.
What a great vacation. Spent a week here and returned yesterday. Food was great. Every employee was kind and gracious and made our stay perfect. Miguel our concierge was awesome, made us feel like royalty. Sobeida, one of the waitresses in buffet was perfect and Drinks were flowing all day, pool and beach were spotless. Entire resort was clean as a whistle. Only issue I can find was the excursion we booked wasn't as specified. We ended up coming back to resort before even getting on boat. Ll in all we will return!!!

Cruise like experience on land

This resort is like taking a cruise but never leaving the port. Plenty of food and entertainment options. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Even with a full occupancy the resort did not feel crowded. It was always easy to find shade near the pool, sometimes a little harder at the beach, but only because there were 8 of us. We were surprised at how few Americans there were there. We enjoyed our stay. The complaints we have are not so severe that it would keep us from coming back. The food in the specialty restaurants was lackluster. It would have been nice to have more towel racks in the bathroom. The TV had poor quality reception. WiFi was schetchy in the room but worked well in the lobby. The room service menu was very limited. But as I said, these were minor. The staff was all very accomodating and it was fun to see what costume "Lenny" would have on next. We had a great family vacation. When our flights home were cancelled one couple in the group was able to extend at that resort but the others were not due to no rooms available.
