Enjoyed our stay, but....
There were issues upon checking in. They weren't able to find our Expedia reservations, but finally did after about 30 minutes. Was disappointed in the rooms and over all shape of resort. The pool in the center hot/cold spa area area had chipped stone and paint with overgrown weeds . The pool bar area was sticky and really needed an update and cleanliness seemed to be an issue. Frozen drinks were not frozen.
Rooms were musty smelling, drapes were in bad shape with stains and in some what of disarray. My daughter's room had a bathtub that was stained and overall cleanliness was not good.
Dinner reservations (which were made for us the day after we checked in) could only be made 4 out of the 7 nights at the resort. We were not notified that the Colonial required the men to be dressed in long pants so we were not permitted to enter, even though there were a few (younger boys) dressed in sport shorts seated at tables. So we were only able to enjoy 3 of the 4 reservations. We had to go to the bar for our drinks after waiting for 40 minutes, during the steak house reservations, even though we asked several times for our drinks with our server and other servers.
