"Nice hotel. Friendly Staff. More 3 star than 4."
Hotel was nice. the view from our "Seaview" room was fantastic. Not really a four-star hotel. Looks like it probably was at one time but definitely need some updates. staff was very friendly and very helpful.

"Beautiful + clean hotel, great views, nice staff"
Clean, beautiful rooms with breathtaking views. Lovely staff, decent breakfast offering by Italian standards. Expect a decent hike to the town center or to either of the beaches (500 stairs to climb down to the small beach (definitely the better of the two beaches!!), but just think of it as exercise for all the pizza and pasta Positano has to offer! Being higher up on the cliff meant EPIC views of Positano. This hotel was great value for the area.

"Out of town, high above Positano village."
Pasquale & his brother are wonderful hosts. Very welcoming, charming & always polite. Breakfast delicious. A challenge to get to Colle dell'Ara but views of Amalfi Coast absolutely superb. You need to be relatively fit to stay here because you have to walk in to the B&B from the road. Some parts of the track are steep and narrow. Our room was spotless & it was serviced every day. Clean linen & towels on day 3. This was really appreciated. Pasquale assisted with booking restaurants & taxi. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

"Perfect location and awesome staff!"
The entire staff is awesome - very courteous and helpful. The location really is perfect. It's a short walk to the city center where the shopping, church and beach are, and at that main beach you can catch a ferry to Capri, Amalfi, Sorrento and other spots. A short walk from Alcione in the other direction takes you to the primary bus stop (all three bus services use this stop). At that city center you can rent a scooter, which you can ride down the Alamlfi Coast or buzz round town. Alcione is also on the South side of the city, so in the morning you see the stunning North side all lit up by the morning sunshine while not having that sun beat directly into your room. Rather, you get the evening sun and sunset. If you stay on the North side you'll have direct morning sun and the views of the South side are not as spectacular. This location really is perfect. There is no dining area, so the free breakfast is delivered directly to your room at the time of your choosing. Every room has a beautiful view and an electric awning to provide shade in the afternoon. The bed is very stiff (beyond "firm") and the shower door design is such that you cannot avoid getting the floor wet. Also be advised that there is no elevator, so if you have issues with stairs, it might be a problem for you. If I return to Positano, I'll likely stay at Alcione again. The positives far outweigh the negatives, and frankly there isn't much else in that perfect location.

"Secluded and local"
If you are wanting to be in the middle of Positano with all the tourists, probably not the place for you. It is in Nocelle, a sleepy little town just above Positano. The views from the hotel are amazing and each room has its own private terrace. The porter greets you to assist with your bags. It is a bit of a hike down to the hotel, roughly 250 steps. You will walk off all the pasta going back up to catch the bus into Positano. It is very easy to get to and from Positano from the hotel- about 20-30 mins on the bus to Positano city center. The room is big and has everything you need. The breakfast is good and the price is significantly lower than those in the middle of Positano. If you are looking for a secluded getaway that doesn't look touristy, stay here! Also right at the start of the Path of the Gods. A must do!

"The best of the best "
I have been lucky enough to stay in a lot of beuatiful places, but this stay was unbeatable because of the family who lives there. Angelo is the best, so kind and helpful. He had cold water waiting for us at the top of the stairs when we arrived. Melania provided warm croissants with chocolate, fresh cappuccinos, juices and fruits and jellies from their garden for breakfast on our terrace the first morning. It was like a dream! Angelo told us about a great beach and some nice restaurants nearby. For our second day, we wanted to leave super early for a hike so I thought we would have to miss out on breakfast but Angelo insisted on bringing it for us at 7 am! When we would come or go we got to see two pups who lived there, it made being away from our pups a little easier. That evening we asked to have dinner in our room and it was so wonderful, bruchetta, homemade cannelloni, chocolate lava cake and organic wine all with our perfect view of the sunset. I got bit by a mosquito while taking pictures on the terrace and Angelo was there two minutes later with bug spray. I was stressed out because I booked our train back to Milan way earlier than any public transportation could get us to Naples. Of course however because of Angelo at 7:30 the next morning we had full bellies and a Mercedes waiting to drive us all the way to Naples to catch our train. Angelo, you and your family are amazing and we won't forget your kindness.

"Good location with friendly staff"
This hotel has a great location and a great partnership with a nearby hotel puppeto which gives you discounts to their AMAZING restaurant, beachside cafe & also lets you use their sun lounges without needing cash (handy when at the beach!) The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the porter service is incredible. My only negative was the room. The bed was 2 singles pushed together and it was a very hard and uncomfortable mattress. The window came off its hinges when we tried to open it. The sounds of Positano travelled down/up the hill into our room all during the night and also sounds within the hotel; footsteps, talking, lifts, etc.

"Perfect location in Positano. "
Great little European boutique hotel with a wonderful staff and an excellent breakfast buffet - a great added value. The sea view room had the perfect view. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was also excellent with a wide variety of choices.

"Accommodating and friendly!"
Hard to believe this family run hotel is only given 3 stars. From checkin to checkout (4 nites), we thoroughly enjoyed this great location and the service provided. The front desk staff, especially Claudia, helped us with our dinner reservations and questions about Positano. We were on our honeymoon and the hotel provided us with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, which we enjoyed on their beautiful balcony dining area. The breakfasts were great and memorable. We had a beautiful view of the sea and Positano from our French balcony. We had a great view of the church of Santa Maria Assunta. The room was spacious and well appointed. We will stay here again the next time we visit Positano.
