B&B Room 116

Via Pietro Colletta 116, Naples - Map
"Nice clean room with 2 balconies and high view "
First entering, the entrance looks a little shady, it's not a grand entrance w/ reception desk; there was some construction so it looked like noone was there. almost thought I had wrong address & at the moment no one was answering, but I had emailed the lady & told her to expect me @ 11:30 am. we were a little early but sure enough she came right by 11:30. She opened the door for us, showed us to our room which then took my breath away & forgives the whole entrance ordeal. the room is spectacular!! shower on the smaller side, so if ur tall or on the heavier side this might not be for you. However everything was great, 2 beautiful balconies w/stellar view of true Naples. Some might say it's dirty with garbage, but it's just like Nyc. The grittiness is what gives it it's charm; honestly you forget about it at some point with all the other beauty of Naples. It's close to the station. I've heard things like how it's a bad area full of mafia fights & prostitutes & pick-pocketers, never once felt in danger. Never once felt threatened, I walked everywhere & everyone was friendly & Not once did I feel in fear. Good location hands down, Close to everything. less intimidating in person. The b&b does make you breakfast. She asks you what time so if u want to eat at different times each day you must tell her in advance. For the most part of day, she is gone. she gives you keys to go in & out, definitely for the more simple & open minded, if ur a needy & particular person maybe not for u

"Spacious with beautiful view of the beach"
Very spacious apartment with all the amenities you need. Across the street there is the beach. Private beach is a 5 minute walk away. Mairori is a wonderful town with one the best beaches and boardwalks on the Amalfi coast. It was my second time there and would absolutely go again. Only downside is the lack of wifi in the apartment.

"Great Resort"
We had a fantastic experience at the Bosco De'Medici, staff are first class and so welcoming. The pool and surrounding grounds are lovely, we would stay there again it was so peaceful and relaxing. I pressed an unhappy face for check in by mistake, and this wasn't the case at all, in fact it was an excellent service,we were so early to check in,but we had a coffee and our room was ready within half an hour of arriving. Thank you ladies for being so kind on my birthday, Margerita and her lovely colleague.

B&B Viva Pompei - Pompei Hotels

B&B Viva Pompei

Via Vittorio Emanuele 10, Pompei - Map
"Excellent location, clean & comfy"
We met Marianna (the owner/manager) at the hotel, located directly across from a retaurant called "Machiavelli's". Our room was on the second floor, accessed by an outside staircase. We entered a clean, spacious room with a kitchenette. The bed was so comfortable (which was a blessing after a rough bed for 2 nights in Rome), and the A/C worked well. The hotel is located 5 minutes down the strret from a wonderful plaza & church. My wife & I walked to get pizza at a small restaurant & later ate fresh gelato beside the fountain in the plaza to cap off the evening. This is definitely located on the nicer half of Pompei, and there bus stop at the plaza to travel to the ruins down the street. I was charged €1.2 for 2 people. I'd stay here again for sure.

Duomo Apartment

Via Duomo 314, Naples - Map
"Like a movie"
Stayed a week in this large old apartment on 4th floor, (with lift). 18th/19th century building in perfect location. Looked just as it should be ... Huge doors into marble floored hall, leading to beautiful curving marble and wrought iron staircase, with 'cage' lift, (think Hitchcock). Apartment old-fashioned but comfortable, very good beds. Two balconies. Everything well used but functioning. Wonderful girl Oriana, met at us there at nearly midnight, went through everything, gave us map and excellent advice.

"Clean, comfortable and friendly hotel."
Initial impression of hotel was clean and comfortable. We were met by friendly and helpful staff, however when asked for additional items for room, several deposits were requested. Although the room was small it was ideal for a short stay. The shower room was adaquate and again clean and well supplied with toiletries. Tea and coffee making facities had to be requested, although topped up each day, milk had to be requested from the dining room. The duvet requires a cover and additional pillows wouldn't go amiss. The room we stayed in was adjacent to the main road and was very noisy even when the shutters and window was closed. The breakfast was ample with a mixture of pastries, cereals, cold meats and cheeses and hot option. The roof terrace had fantastic views, however lacked atmosphere. The bar was more like a tuck shop and the hot tub was Luke warm.

"Nice people walking at the hotel, small elevator"
Nice people working at this place, high ceiling and breakfast provided. Was able to provide directions to all places. Near metro and cafe and shopping. Need to get up a few stairs up with luggages, make a left to the elevator to go up.

Alcione Residence - Positano Hotels

Alcione Residence

Via Cristoforo Colombo 135, Positano - Map
"Perfect location and awesome staff!"
The entire staff is awesome - very courteous and helpful. The location really is perfect. It's a short walk to the city center where the shopping, church and beach are, and at that main beach you can catch a ferry to Capri, Amalfi, Sorrento and other spots. A short walk from Alcione in the other direction takes you to the primary bus stop (all three bus services use this stop). At that city center you can rent a scooter, which you can ride down the Alamlfi Coast or buzz round town. Alcione is also on the South side of the city, so in the morning you see the stunning North side all lit up by the morning sunshine while not having that sun beat directly into your room. Rather, you get the evening sun and sunset. If you stay on the North side you'll have direct morning sun and the views of the South side are not as spectacular. This location really is perfect. There is no dining area, so the free breakfast is delivered directly to your room at the time of your choosing. Every room has a beautiful view and an electric awning to provide shade in the afternoon. The bed is very stiff (beyond "firm") and the shower door design is such that you cannot avoid getting the floor wet. Also be advised that there is no elevator, so if you have issues with stairs, it might be a problem for you. If I return to Positano, I'll likely stay at Alcione again. The positives far outweigh the negatives, and frankly there isn't much else in that perfect location.
