After a long day of visiting the nearby sites, (Dunluce Castle, Giants Causway) it was nice to get back and relax under the twinkling lights of the patio, having the sounds of sheep in the background. "We stayed at Roe Valley Resort for a weekend with our 3 and 4-year-old children and overall were very impressed. Our family suite was extremely spacious and gave us plenty of room to relax. While some areas of the hotel are currently undergoing maintenance, the hotel itself is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. The facilities for children were excellent and our girls absolutely loved their stay. The pool was a particular highlight, especially as the shallow area was suitable for our 4-year-old to comfortably stand in. There were lots of activities available for families, which made for a great weekend away. The main disappointment was dining. It seems essential to book restaurants well in advance. We managed to get a late dinner slot on Friday evening after arriving, but were unable to get a table in the hotel on Saturday night. We ended up ordering room service, which arrived more like a takeaway than hotel dining, served in disposable packaging rather than on plates. We were also disappointed that the children's water jet ski activity was completely sold out, and the pool waterslide closed intermittently whenever the lifeguard took breaks. Despite these issues, we had a very enjoyable stay and the children had a fantastic time. With a little more capacity around dining and activities, the experience would have been even better."
