This hotel was in a very prime location for the town. Safe and secure parking garage that you can come and go as you please. Very clean. Friendly staff! Helped with any questions I had. In the bathroom there is a wall place that says if you hang your towels, they won’t wash them. I didn’t mind reusing my towels, so I hung them each day. But everyday when I returned to my room, they had cleaned and replaced all towels. I even made my bed each morning and they would remake it.. I’m a very clean and tidy person and they went above and beyond even when I wasn’t trying to have everything replaced. They exceed my expectations.

I loved that you were right in the middle of everything where you can walk to many restaurants in minutes, walk all around the area, friendly people and for me it seemed everyone spoke English which made it so much easier. The hotel was very clean, staff always was there to help and in the morning breakfast to start the day. The thing I didn't like was the internet in the hotel itself, very slow, was frustrating at times.

The location is very well-located, with plenty of dining and shipping options near by. The hotel offers free-parking, and is within a few minutes walking from the train station. Since it is centrally-situated, it may be a bit noisy at times, but the windows do well in shutting off the sound.

Great choice in this beautiful small town. The only thing is the room is too stuffy and have to open the window to get some fresh air. And it's super nice for a solo traveler.

Of the four hotels I've stayed at in Pordenone, Hotel Moderno was the best, in terms of location, parking, and breakfast. It was the same price as two of the other hotels, but was the easiest to work with, with very nice staff. The only problem is that most of the rooms appear to have large single beds (with hard pillows), which makes it great for solo travelers but not as good for couples or families.

Good to be back
Been a while (2 years) but I had to come to Italy for a business trip and decided to stay at Moderno. It's quiet but central and the staff are cheerful and helpful. It's somewhat "art deco" but has a quaint and familiar feel. I'm a frequent business traveller, and usually quite picky about the hotels I choose, but I recommend Moderno for anyone visiting Pordenone.

Pordenone Gem!!!
This amazing hotel is situated perfectly downtown. The clean and modern interior was perfect and the staff was friendly and attentive. We had forgot our electrical adapters and they quickly found multiple ones for our family. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed!!!

Definitely Recommend Hotel Moderno
I have stayed here many times and do so because it is a very nice hotel. Underground parking included and in the middle of the city of Pordenone. Great access to pedestrian zone and many restaurants, shopping and cafè. During Christmas you have a beatiful Christmas market on your doorstep! Staff is very friendly and room is clean and comfortable!

Pretty good!
Good hotel. Room was huge, relatively well equipped, and service friendly. Breakfast a bit basic, but hotel was pretty good otherwise. Would return!

Better than many, but not the Best
Stayed here for 8 nights, no real complaint except there are several little things that make this a less than ideal place to visit. First item is the access, there is no place to stop your car out front of the hotel, so you hope to find a metered spot while you run in to check in; once you check in you realize there is no ramp or elevator to get you from the street to the lobby, so somebody with mobility issues has to walk up 7 steps into the lobby; that also means you have to lug your luggage up the steps as well. once settled in the room they tell you the parking is through the gate, which is not an issue as all you do is push the button and they open the gate for you, down the ramp you go into the parking garage where you have to walk back up, down the sidewalk (in the rain), up the steps and into the lobby; NOT quite 4-Star hotel service in my opinion. last thing is, I booked through Hotel.com, the hotel frowns on this, although they sell plenty of rooms this way, I booked a double room, I learned that double means small bed in Italy and if you want a matrimonial-size bed they strap two beds together and charge you an extra 50 Euros which was discounted from the 125 Euro that I was supposed to be paying because brought my wife along. oh, and another irritation: the climate control is controlled from the front desk, you can turn it on or off from your room, but they decide the temperature, so if it's hot, you need to convince them why you need it cooler.

Excellent hotel with excellent location
Right next to the pedestrian area in the old town, bars, restaurants and everything. Nice breakfast, free safe parking and very helpful and friendly staff who made everything in their power to make my stay enjoyable. Big thank for all working in reseption :) I will definitely come back to this hotel, just for the hotel and staff.
