The hotel itself is very clean and has the most comfortable beds we have seen in Italy. The view of the valley and the mountains from the restaurant is absolutely stunning! However the highlight of our stay was the staff who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. We arrived by train on a Sunday evening and when there was no bus or taxis available, the front desk attendant loaned her personal vehicle to another staff member who picked us up from the train station, saving us a long and arduous walk up to the Old Town. This is not a service the hotel normally provides. The same staff member later offered suggestions at the restaurant that made for a wonderful meal. We simply can not say enough about the staff at the Hotel Garibaldi. My wife and I would definitely recommend the Hotel Garibaldi." We were there the first week of October and our rooms were warm. When we asked they told us it had not been turned on and they would do so. After going back and forth a few times we were told they just turned on the blower because in the ‘winter’ they don’t have AC. We did not have this issue traveling in Italy for over 25 days. It was strange and felt like they did not want to just tell us that from the beginning. Otherwise the hotel was lovely appointed."
