"The staff was amazing! Everyone on staff, not just the front desk, was cheerful, kind and helpful. We looked forward to breakfast every day. So many options. Everything high quality, delicious and beautifully presented. The coffee maker with freshly ground beans and espresso options was another thing I will miss. The location of the hotel is wonderful. Pretty close to the U-Bahn for all our excursions. Also close to a number of delicious dinner dining options. The restaurants September and an Italian restaurant whose name I can’t remember were wonderful and reasonably priced. We enjoyed walking down to the beautiful park area which reminds me of New York’s Central Park. So beautiful and relaxing."

"This was a Gem of a hotel. Considering it is right in the heart of Hamburg in the city centre, it was really good value for money. It has a bar which is not advertised in its hotel's booklet , but its run by Esther who is an amazing character and who is very knowledgable in her field of work and drinks which is really really well priced . The breakfast staff ( say it as you see it) Ahhkilla, Hammett , Side, Raggie and Abassi ((who was such a lovely gent ) were friendly, funny, accommodating , all the things you want when your on holiday. My last staff member was MJ a deaf cleaner who I communicated with very well ( i dont do sign language ) but we both managed to get across to each other what was needed. The front desk staff were really friendly and the owner of the hotel was a great character and i loved her glasses !!! Hamburg was a beautiful place and im glad i went there and to that hotel. Spotlessly clean .... The room was basic but everything you need ( except a kettle) you can always buy a little travel one . Brilliant ."

"One of the most lovely and comfortable places I’ve stayed. Staff was most helpful with bag check and printing our departure train tickets. Also enjoyed the comfortable library space in the hotel. Highly recommend!"

"Excellent hotel, rooms nice size with everything you need,spotless and super comfybed , breakfast was amazing lots to choose from and delicious pastries, nicely priced drinks at the bar and the staff were so friendly and helpful and situated in a good area short walk to docks,reeperbahn and city centre"

"Very large hotel. Staff friendly, but friendliness of front desk people seemed forced rather than genuine. The hotel seemed very well-staffed (there are plenty of staff around). Beautiful, but small, swimming pool. Even smaller workout room. My room was spacious and very comfortable. A/C worked well and room was quiet and well equipped. A 5-min walk to the Dammtor station, from which one can easily reach the Hauptbahnhof. Short walk to lovely park along the water, too."
