Super cool place! We stayed on a weekday so it was nice and quiet. Room had a TV, mini fridge, microwave, and shampoo/conditioner/bodywash/towels. The bed had a cover and the room was clean. Found a yummy breakfast place nearby. Overall a great experience! Thank you

Very friendly staff, room was very clean and had an antique homey feel. Our room was on the street side so a little outside noise but nothing to terrible. Would definitely stay here again.

Very cute old hotel nicely decorated to feel like a home away from home. The rooms are very clean and smelled nice. The front desk lady was very nice and accommodating. Cute little town i will definitely be back.

This is a very historic old hotel in the middle of Pittsfield, Illinois, an area that Abraham Lincoln frequented. It has a very rich heritage. However, check-in was unique -- the keys are left on the front counter because there was no staff on site. I thought that was most unusual and not very secure. They also use regular keys and not electronic ones. In addition, there was no deadbolt on the room door making it feel less safe. Finally, when we first got into the room, we found a number of crickets and other insects which we killed. We spent our first 30 minutes hunting down the bugs and eliminating them. Since there was no staff on the property, we had to take care of this ourselves nor could we request another room. However, having said all that, the staff was very nice and helpful the next morning. They were very friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. So, in spite of the bugs and the unique check-in process, our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed it.

I loved everything about this place. It feels like you have ur own studio apartment. I felt very safe. It had so many beautiful areas to just hang out amd relax. It is also a very nice town to visit. I will be coming back for sure!

The staff is phenomenal!! Friendly , wonderful service. The only very small comment for improvement is that the mattress we slept on was very soft and we ended both up in the middle of it during the night. Which was uncomfortable.

Loved the quaint entrance and straight forward you can see the check in desk. Our room was on 2nd floor with a lovely view and king size bed that was sooooo comfortable. The room was super spacious and view on the town square. If you are ever in Pittsfield IL stop in and stay the night. There are many suggestions of great food. We chose Nucci’s…so good.

This historic hotel was so beautiful and very clean. The exposed brick and moldings were gorgeous. Sometimes beds in motels and hotels can be very comfortable. We had an excellent nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. It was a bit sobering to be where Stephen Douglas and Abraham Lincoln were at so often. I highly recommend if you want to step back into history.

Beautiful and well maintained hotel
An older hotel that was beautiful and well maintained. I would definitely stay again and plan to if we ever go up north again. Felt very safe in this hotel and in the area. The lady at front desk was very sweet and gave us lots of information. If I would give any suggestion at all it would be to fix the mini split in the bedroom where I stayed. The air in the living room area worked well so they gave us a fan to use to blow into the bedroom.

The check in was very pleasant. The lady that was there was a beautiful person very kind. The hotel is awesome especially if you like history. Quite clean everything you could want. If you like Italian food a great place across the street. I will return with family

Loved the historic feel of the hotel and the view of the courthouse out of our windows. Our room was clean and efficient. Bed was comfy but we rolled into middle a little. Lighting was lacking but the attendant brought us an extra lamp which worked fine. Operation of heaters was a little difficult to figure out. Breakfast was lite but sufficient. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
