Outstanding help and staff

We first entered our room and we noticed an hour into our stay the tv was not working. The picture was going out and we suddenly reported it to the desk staff and they came up to look at it and the staff member called on his phone and arranged to get us anthor room. I was very satisfied overall.

Pros: location, stress free environment
Hotel was centrally located for our visit to Chatham University and Heinz Field. Easy walk to the Pitt Campus area to have lunch and dinner. The check-in process was very easy and the hotel was very quiet, except for the outside noise during the overnight hours. Beds were comfortable and overall the room was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Good and close to CMU

I wad there for a conference at CMU. It was 20mins walking. And there was Panera on the first floor. It was good.

Forced to find better hotel close to UPMC

Location: Quality Inn - University Center has a Panera Bread downstairs, which was always very convenient. The hotel is the closest to the UPMC hospitals.
1. Sliding glass door to balcony had two of three broken locks. The outside was kept out only by a flimsy metal bar that anyone could've bent or broken. Cold air and noise rolled into the room all night. 2. My bed was on the floor due to a broken leg. 3. TV Remote did not have a back or work at all. 4. Bathroom sink was clogged; slow to drain water. 5. Hotel neighbors were smoking in their room(s), causing the hallway and my room to smell horribly of cigarette smoke. 6. Refrigerator door seal was broken. 7. Tissue box in bathroom was empty. 8. Woke up the next morning to find fleas in roommate's bed. Quality Inn Manager's solution was to offer points for a free stay. Yeah, no.

Pros: Closeness to Magee HOSPITAL. My husband had a very early appt and we didn't have to worry about driving in traffic that morning.
Cons: Rooms could be updated....didn't like the stucco walls..
Location: Location was perfect for us. We had an appt at Magee at 7am.

Not Quality Inn

The quality inn staff were excellent. However, balcony door latch broken. Door frame around it looked like someone tried breaking in. Dark carpets, extremely dark walls, bathroom caulk was discolored. Cost of room was high for quality of room.

Pros: I enjoyed the fact that the hotel is very close to Pitt
Cons: The rooms are rather small, and someone pulled the fire alarm at 12:30am!!
Location: Close enough to the university center
