No toaster (toasting bread in the oven is wasteful, it heats up the room, and it is hazardous - get a toaster). No oven mitts or anything to take things out of the oven (the burn on my finger is healing and the scar will be a nice reminder of our stay). The kitchen was especially well stocked with kitchenware which I gratefully used to do some cooking for the next wave of our trip. "We stayed five nights at the Octopus Lair and it did not disappoint! It was extremely clean and inviting and a great price! We had everything we needed for our beach vacation. The location was perfect! Almost everything we wanted to do was a bike ride away and renting bikes was easy and a really fun way to see the island. We got an Uber for the dolphin tour and to spend the day in Savannah, but other than that, we were able to walk or bike everywhere! We came home each evening to a quiet, clean...

"The Octopus Lair was perfect for our stay. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and to lots of restaurants and shops. We also rented bikes and rode all around the island! The Lair was clean and most importantly had amazing AC. The property was very charming and we were lucky enough to see the local osprey nesting in her trees! If you had another couple vacationing with you, it would be perfect to have them rent the upstairs while you stayed downstairs. Would definitely stay here again."

"The house was great and perfect for multiple families. There were a few small hiccups such as trash pick not happening the day it was supposed to so it still had the other guest’s trash and we ran out of room for ours but the response was almost immediate and the trash was picked up within less than an hour of us messaging! The area was also great. We had a group of 15 for reference and we all had plenty of room!"
