I booked this based on being on a budget and didn’t fully appreciate the budget-ness once I was there.
There are many signs around the unit on what guests are expected to do. One was to turn the AC off when leaving, which I get for saving on electric costs. That however resulted in the unit being 87 degrees with a musty smell when I arrived – not a welcome feeling.
Another was “If you use it, please replace it." It was very obvious a prior guest had gotten the soap low and decided to “fill it back up” with water because it ran out like water and wasn’t very sudsy. As a guest with a high cleaning fee, basics should be provided at no expectation for guests to buy.
There are amenities like a pool and laundry, but not actual directions on where it is (said “Bayview” which I had no idea what that meant?) I Google Earth'd to find the pool.
There is a requirement as well to wash the towels/sheets – via community PAID laundry room – after charging a high cleaning fee. A prior guest had washed the bathroom towels in bleach so the aesthetic of using gray turned light pink/white towels all week was meh.
Pros: Location, cost, good Wifi, big screen TV, having access to a kitchen, quiet neighborhood
For a budget it’s great and I’d give it a 5/5 for budget-ness, but for me personally, I was wishing I had stayed at a hotel as having to pay to do laundry and worry about replacing things like soap isn't worth it while on a vacation.
