GREAT OASIS IN PARIS

Posted 19-Jul-2016
Pros: The rooms were beautiful. Great showers and beds. Lovely coffee service.
Location: The area near Gare du Nord/L'est is a bit sketchy. However, the hotel is safe and secure and so close the Metro, and you can get anywhere.
This hotel is lovely. The location is close to numerous Metro options-- also walking distance to many sites. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Easily accessible to anything you need. Staff friendly and willing to answer any questions. I would highly recommend and definitely will be back!

Staff

Posted 18-Jul-2016
While the hotel is at a good location and very close to metro, and room is good, I was very disappointed with the staff. At check in, since we were early and just wanted to drop bags before heading for sight seeing.. V asked the girl at the desk if that is ok. She sighed and gave us bag tags and told us to put it on our bags ourselves and then put the bags in the corner ourselves.. While she sat behind the desk.. That is really poor customer service. For breakfast, we specifically asked if it was included in our reservations and were told yes. After breakfast, we were charged 64 euros and were told that it was not part of our reservations. All this makes it for poor customer service!! Thanks

Very nice hotel near Gare du Nord

Posted 04-Jul-2016
The hotel overall was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable, shower was big which was good for couples. The hotel is very close to a supermarche only 2 doors down and to a lot of restaurants so plently choices available. The breakfast buffet option was very tasty with a variety of foods to choose from. Only downside was the location in itself as the area is very rough and full of tramps. Also the spa looked like it was being still built and nothing was mentioned about the possibility to use. Other than that, the hotel was amazing and I would recommend it for anyone travelling to Paris for a short break.

Ok hotel but location not great

Posted 01-Jul-2016
Pros: The reason we chose this hotel was that if has a fitness center. Not that great.
Cons: Improve the rooms and also the fitness center. Also maybe improve the hotel area and not have all these shady people mongering around.
Location: it was ok location but area not that great.
The rooms were quite small and the location is not the greatest as there are many shady people loitering along the street. It make us nervous walking. The staff were helpful in accommodating our rooms even thou there were quite small. It is understandable as it is a old hotel building.

Pros: Very comfortable
Cons: Shower head is hand held which takes a bit of getting used to but it worked.
An excellent hotel with friendly and efficient service. Continuous coffee and light refreshments, international papers and a nice lounge pleasing. Good reasonably priced restaurants very close. We felt comfortable which made our stay in Paris even better.

Very convenient for a short stay in Paris

Posted 27-Jun-2016
Located close to both Gare du Nord and Gare du L'Est stations for the TGV train to the airport and the metro. Good choice of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. A small, clean, comfortable, well maintained, convenient hotel.

Good quality hotel accessible from Gare du Nord

Posted 08-Jun-2016
Pros: Comfort, quiet, breakfast, helpful staff.
Cons: The armchairs in the foyer are very low; TV in guest lounge could be turned down or off.
Location: Very handy to shops, eating places and the Gare du Nord.
I used this hotel as a handy stopover on arrival while waiting for the apartment I'm using to be vacant. The hotel is located in what is for Paris a quiet street. I stayed in a deluxe room which was relatively roomy by Paris standards and overlooked a pleasant courtyard. Staff were helpful in recommending cafes, bistrots and restaurants of good quality and off the beaten track. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Bottled water and basic tea/coffee making faciliites are supplied in the rooms. I didn't use the guest lounge area as TV was blaring there all the time.
