Courteous staff. Great accessible bathrooms

Hotel Nacional is a huge, modern and impressive looking hotel, but our stay did not get off to the best start. Check in took over 40 minutes after a long flight, and there always seemed to be queues at reception. The guy checking us took 20 minutes and seemed very slow. We'd booked two junior suites rooms and had asked to be on the same floor so our kids could be near us, but were put around 20 floors apart and were told the hotel was full, which was annoying. When you book two rooms how hard...

Brilliant hotel, excellent service and breakfast through our stay. Perfect location and great beach service. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent location. Lovely room and great choice for breakfast 😊 Staff very friendly and helpful especially Eduardo at the concierge desk. Would highly recommend 😀

The location is excellent. A much quieter section of Copcabana.Staff at very good and helpful. Metro about 20min walk. Good places to eat near by. Would definitely stay here again. They do put a charge on your credit card at check in rather than just take card details. Would have been helpful to know this before hand as could have been a problem if not enough credit.

Pessoal da recepção são mal educados e parecem estar fazendo favores. Já o pessoal do café da manhã extremamente educados. Quartos limpos e ótimo custo benefício.

The breakfast was a very good spread. The first two rooms I was shown were not suitable for my daughter and myself. The third was clean and comfortable.

Lovely hotel and staff. Would definitely go back

Great breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Amazing location with views of the beach and Christ the redeemer.

Was very apprehensive about staying in Lapa but after arriving I felt so much better. The hotel is in a perfect spot which made it easy to see Santa Teresa, the Lapa arches and sample local nightlife in Lapa. The staff were all so helpful and made our stay perfect. Would definitely stay again if I come back to Rio.

Good comfy oversized stay at a good price relatively close to the airport

This hotel is perfect for a short visit to Rio de Janeiro. Although our room was small, the comfort levels were excellent. The rooftop bar and pool offered a relaxing area after our full days of sightseeing. Visit the rooftop bar at least once to soak up the amazing views of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer statue.
