The condo is in a prime location and that is what you’re paying for. The condo itself is old and barely updated in over 30 years to the point that the decor is amusing. So if you are into modern and luxury this is not your place. Attention to detail is not happening here.
They have updated the shower which was mentioned as a problem in earlier reviews and it is now nice.
The only blankets provided were three 30 year old appearing blankets, no comforters. Luckily the management company did deliver 2 nice comforters when we complained but sounds like we were lucky to get that. The bed was comfortable with a memory foam topper that has been added to it.
Didn’t like that we had to stop at management office to get and return our keys. And then stop at condo office for parking pass. Except check in not until 4 and all these offices packing up by 4:30-5 so you’re lucky if you catch somebody. I don’t need more errands in my life. Management company office doesn’t open for you until 9:30 for calls etc which I think is quite late.
FYI there is wood burning stove. One sign in a random place, not with all the other stove info, telling you there is a wood locker in the garage. We found this sign as we were checking out, after we called the management company our first morning who didn’t know that info either and after we bought wood. Also no tool for making kindling. Bring paper and a hatchet.
And maybe extra blankets.
And still no pot holders in the kitchen as mentioned in earlier reviews and very few spoons and forks so bring some to donate if you have extra old ones.
We had a great time in Mammoth! Winter Wonderland!

Need to change the carpet because it’s smells inside the room. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. The heater was so strong. It’s to hot in the evening.

The unit is spacious and clean. The location is ideal for skiing. Right across the parking lot from Canyon lodge. Can’t get much closer. Really close to the village gondola also which makes for a quick and easy trip into the village and back home. The kitchen is very well equipped. Smart TVs in each room. There is someone working the building office who is very nice and helpful if you have questions. Austria Hof is the closest restaurant (right around the corner) and it has delicious food. The floors in the unit can get a bit cold in winter so bring a pair of slippers. And this has nothing to do with the unit but something outside (maybe the village gondola?!?) had a tendency to make a rhythmic noise on and off all day and night so if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing a white noise machine. Great stay.
